Deva slowly fell into deep consciousness not knowing what was happening in the outside world.
She opened her eyes to a loud screech, her first thought was to call out to Slyvian but then she realized that she was no longer in the carriage.
In fact she wasn't sure of where she was , she got up from the grass and looked around.
It was a valley filled with trees and flowers, the entire place was a like a breath of fresh air calm with a homey feel to it.
She dusted her clothes and began walking, when she got to where the flower was she tried to pick it but her hand went right through it.
What was going on, don't tell her she had died she was very sure heaven didn't look like this.
If she wasn't in heaven then where could she be?
Deva sighed her heartbeat had gone haywire from fear and confusion but her brain was the only thing telling her to keep calm.
She looked up and saw a man carrying a woman and he was running towards a cottage, there wasn't much distance between herself and them so she could see the woman's face.
Heavens! She looked exactly like her exactly more older, she was only eighteen while the woman looked to be in her twenties, for some reason she couldn't see the man's face only his back, but he seemed to be in a hurry.
She waved at them trying to get his attention but it seemed like he didn't know of her existence. She decided to follow the man and find out why he was in such a hurry.
He seemed to muttering some words he couldn't hear making Deva even more confused, where was she? Who were these people? Why did the woman look exactly like her?
All these unanswered questions kept fueling her curiosity and confusion making her increase her pace and follow the man.
The man knocked the door and a woman opened the door, Deva's world nearly turned black when she saw the woman. The woman who opened the door was her very own mother.
But how was the possible, she was only eighteen and the women was older than her so how could her mother had given birth to her when she said she was their first and only child.
There was only two possibilities at this time, it was either what she was seeing was the past or something that was going to happen in the nearest future.
Does that mean the man carrying the woman was Slyvian , with all the questions marks in her head Deva follow the man into the cottage.
Her eyes shook when she saw the inside this was definitely not a normal house and her mother was no ordinary lady.
It turns out her mother was a witch and the man had brought the woman here in hopes of saving her.
She had just one thought in mind now, she was definitely not the carriage heading Ashford and what she was seeing right now the past or rather past memories.
Deva eyebrow furrowed if what she was seeing were past memories then who's memories where they, could it be hers and then remembered Slyvian's last words.."..You're not allowed leave me Abi not again."
Not allowed to leave ? She had left before, she always felt Slyvian was treating her like someone he had meet before, could it be that his love for her was really not love at first sight and he only liked her because she looked a lot like this girl.
Deva heart broke into tiny pieces at the thought that he was treating her like a replacement maybe that was why he was so obsessive with her.
She was beginning to question her entire life at this point!
*********
"Your highness the king is ready to see you..please let me take you to his bed chambers..."
The servant bowed as he stretched his hand to the pathway that lead to the king's bed chambers.
The man smiled and got up from the chair.."It's been a long time since I've seen father he must miss me.."
The servant shivered now that the king's second son had returned who was proclaimed dead at some time, the servant felt the next few months of their lives would not be good.
"Let's not dilly dally!..."
The servant quickly took to his feet and lead the man to the king's bed chamber, the sooner they got there the better for him.
Ever since the second prince left the kingdom life had been better for everyone now that he suddenly appeared what if he had killed the crowned prince and was here for the crown.
The servant prayed a day like that would not come! He stole glances at the prince he still had the same smile on his face, the prince was even more menacing than when he had left.
"How is my father's health..."
The servant sighed the king's health was another dire issues, they had hired the best doctors but to no avail instead the king's health seemed to be deteriorating with each treatment.
"That king's health had been deteriorating he can no longer move his limbs or leave the bed. He had little time left your highness..."
The servant hoped the prince would take his father health into consideration and not cause trouble when he heard the prince say.."That's good, it should be like this.."
The servant hand shook and he stopped walking what kind of son would wished for his father to be sick and die from an illness.
"Your highness pardon my words but you like the king's to not be in good health.."
The prince chuckled and turned to look at the servant, what was the use of father who never took care his son, he did not care if his father was dead or alive but he preferred if he was dead it would make it easier to kill the bastard brother that his father had made heir to his throne.
"What's the use of a dead man? It will be easier for us or rather me if he's dead he's of no use to me.."
The servant felt cold aura seeping from the man and his hand trembled, the prince was no different from the heartless and cruel demons raised from the bottom of the fire in the underworld.
