"Pet it and let's go! We still need to feed you .."
Deva's lips twitched and Aurt gave Deva a glance why did he feel she was the pet to this intimidating man.
"Hurry up!.."
Deva quickly petted the bunny, it was the softest thing she had ever touched and she didn't want to let go.
"Can I hug you!.."
"Yes.."
Slyvian replied and opened his arms with a smile although he knew she was talking to Aurt.
"I was..talking to Aurt.."
Slyvian eyes landed on the bunny who was slowly hopping away, he took two steps and caught up to it grabbing him by the neck and walking back to Deva.
"Here hug it and let's go.."
Deva hugged the bunny happily who protested and screamed only quietening down after receiving a glare from Slyvian.
"You've hugged it..now let's go.."
Deva nodded and placed the back on the ground, she petted his head once last time before fastening her steps to catch up to Slyvian.
"I wish we could take the bunny along with us..."
"It's very unwilling, besides it has a home.."
Deva nodded she didn't want to force it out of its natural habitat just because she liked it.
They sighted Ethan inspecting the carriage they had to make sure everything was tip-top order they didn't want too many casualties on the trip.
"You're just in time...I've just finished preparing breakfast.."
Deva glanced at Ethan, he knew how to cook then again with a brother like Slyvian one would learn how to do many things.
She turned to Slyvian did he also knew how to cook, she smiled inquisitively and asked.."Do you also know how to cook.."
Hearing Deva's question laughed out loud, his brother Slyvian knowing how to cook. He only tried cooking once and burnt the entire kitchen to the ground.
He still remembered the cooks and maids horrific expressions, good times he muttered to himself.
"No!.."
Deva wasn't disappointed he was already an outstanding man it didn't matter if he didn't know how to cook any woman would be willing to cook for him and show of her gourmet skills.
"What about you..do you know how to cook.."
Of course she did a countryside lady that didn't know how to cook that was simply absurd.
"Yes I do my mother thought me how to cook.."
Slyvian chuckled seeing her serious expression, maybe he would have the opportunity to taste her cooking one day.
"Then you must prepare something for me one day..."
Deva nodded as Slyvian lead her to sit on a stump after which Ethan brought their food on a wooden plate.
"Today's food is my specialty..eggs, bacon and sausage, I also have a diced fruits on the side and freshly squeezed orange juice.."
Deva's stomach grumbled seeing the delicious spread in front of her, happily received the plate from Ethan who then went to bring over the diced fruit and orange juice.
Deva prayed silently before digging in, it was like heaven in her mouths she felt Ethan was a better cook than her.
But wait! Slyvian and Ethan were royals how come Ethan knew how to cook.
"How come Ethan knows how to cook? Aren't you royals.."
Royals? Slyvian chuckled, being royals was what gave them a sh*tty childhood.
"We stayed on our own most of the time, our mother wasn't welcome so we lived with her until her death...."
Deva nodded she wondered the kind of mother their mother was, she must have been an amazing one and beautiful too.
"What was she like.."
"She was the best mother any child could wish for, clothed us, feed us, told us stories, protected us, she's one of the strongest woman I've ever seen and she was mysterious as well. She never told us her family name only her name..Helena..."
Ethan spoke softly it was a sad thing she had passed away from an illness.
"Helena....."
Deva mumbled the words softly what a beautiful name she thought to herself.
"Well let's get eating we don't have all day, we still have to get to Ashford.."
With that everyone continued eating as Deva happily enjoyed the food. Good food, Good life her mother would always say.
After eating and resting Slyvian brought Deva to the seaside, the sea breeze wept their hairs and Deva's dresss from side to side.
"Have you ever been to the seaside..."
Slyvian asked if he remembered clearly there was no ocean or lakes around the countryside only streams at most. His little lamb hadn't seen most of the world and he was determined to let her see both the good and bad side which was one of the reasons why he was taking her to Ashford.
"Once back then we were going on a trip, we happened to pass a cliff side it was a very nice view almost as pretty as this one.."
The breeze gently swept the waves to the shore as the seagulls stood at the rocks look to the river. She had always quite liked the sea she didn't know why.
"When are we going to see your friend.."
Slyvian saw Deva look at the water excitedly seems like she really wanted to see this friend of his.
"Let me call her out.."
Deva raised her brow it was a her, she had a feeling it was going to be a female.
Slyvian took a little sea shell and blew on it, it made a soft and gentle sound, Deva wondered if the person was going to hear it.
Slyvian blew on it thrice before stopping, Deva looked around for any kind of creature but the sea remainced calm.
"Seems like she's busy.."
Slyvian stared at the water calmly and smiled when he saw ripples coming out of the water,a head slowly got out of the water it was a seahorse and it was carrying a lady. It swarm towards them at high speed. Deva couldn't help gasped what a beautiful creature.
The seahorse turned showing the woman's full view, a coral crown on her black flowing hair which covered the shells on her chest, on her slender fair hands were also strings of sea shells. Deva looked down no legs only a long blue tail. She had to say both creatures were magnificent.
"Sly...it's been a long time since you made us a visit and you even brought a friend. She's quite beautiful!.."
Slyvian nodded slightly although there was no smile on his face his expression was less cold.
"Her name's Deva.."
"It's short for Devany.."
The mermaid smiled and stretched her hand towards Deva, she hesitated and looked at Slyvian, he nodded she was not a threat to them.
"Devany...the names suits you do you know that.."
Deva blushed and nodded softly, only to see the lady dragging her toward the water.
"Come Deva..my name is coral and my trustee stead here is Reef, we will like to show you our world..."
The lady words were gentle as Deva stretched her hand towards Slyvian, she couldn't leave without Slyvian .
"We'll go together.."
Slyvian smiled he liked how she was always thinking about him, he wrapped his hand around hers and gave her smile.
"Always!.."
