Theo had always attended such events. Not by choice, by force.
First, they were an utter bore.
Second, most of the men didn't waste a second in bringing their unmarried daughters to him.
Third, he hated people.
Setting his champagne on the counter, he leaned back against the wall, hidden from everyone's eyes from the corner where he was standing. Sometimes, he preferred it this way. He liked being invisible. Less likely that people would come and talk to him then.
Zei had his own problems to handle and that's why he was standing in the hall alone, without anyone he recognized or knew well enough to engage with. Meanwhile, Dylan was still busy working in the States, settling Zei's affairs, and expanding the business abroad.
Theo sighed. No amusement whatsoever.
Making the women and their fathers cry had long grown old, he wanted something new. Something that made his blood heat up when he tried it.
