Carlos Lin's eyes immediately lightened up at the words he had longed to hear. He smiled, parting his lips to agree when out of nowhere, a cold breeze flowed past him and he shivered.
Why does it suddenly feel so cold?
He turned around, his eyes widening when they met a pair of piercing blue eyes that were busy digging a hole through his skull. A massive hole at that.
"..."
"Mr. Yang! How do you do? It's been ages since we last met—"
"Yes and a second before you arrived, I was occupied in asking Miss Qian to dance with me." Lily felt her throat going dry. "I'm sure you can wait for your turn, Lin?"
Carlos gulped. Why was he looking at him as if he couldn't wait to cut him up into pieces and then sell his organs on the black market at a discount?!
Even if he didn't want to wait for his turn, nobody said no to Theodore Yang, and managed to walk out of the room in one piece. It wasn't a fact; it was a rule.
