Hidden pain that none can see,
A burden carried silently.
Calling out for help in need,
Only to be met with disbelief.
"Do teenagers get depressed?"
They scoffed, their words distressed.
But how can anyone truly know,
The pain that one may undergo?
All I ever wanted was love,
Understanding, a helping glove.
To break free from this heavy weight,
And focus on my future, my fate.
Tired of tears and sleepless nights,
Of feeling lost and out of sight.
Of aching, starving, hurting inside,
Yet still putting on a smile with pride.
But the truth remains, I'm not okay,
And I pray someone hears me and stays.
To offer a hand, a listening ear,
To see me through, to wipe away my tears.
