Chapter 7 - Azura

"Okay, let's do it. Are you ready, Yuzuru?"Set said.

"Yes, I think I am. If I want something back from my life, that apple can do it. With that, I can impress Lachesis. I want to believe I can do it," I thought aloud.

"I have to," I repeated in my mind.

"It's a beast-like monster named Azura. His weak point is to attack his heel," Set explained.

"It will be you, Yuzuru," he declared confidently. "If things get bad, I'll step in and kill him, but I won't let you die. I promise you."

"Do I really have to?" I asked myself. It takes me, I'm not prepared for this. I don't like to think about attacking, but I could at least try. Set said he's not a strong monster, and I read about it in the guild books.

I ran towards the monster and made one attack to the right, one to the left, and then one to the head. Although I've never faced him before, I studied his movements in the guild books. I have to, I can do it.

I dodged the first pattern, the second and the third. It was time, I had to hit his heel. I went up from behind her body and said, "It's time, your next move should be a backward attack. I'm within your range in the head. Now is my chance."

But what? His hand is towards my legs. It didn't say that in the book, anywhere. Damn it, he got me! I think you should cut off his arm.

Shit, what the fuck! Wait a minute, are you pointing your arm at my neck? Wait, not yet, not yet. Please, I don't want to die yet. Please, not yet.

Then I see Set running over here. He'll come to save me. (Yuzuru becomes unconscious).

"So that's all you can do, kid," he said disappointed. "Honestly, I expected more. At least that's what she told me. What a disappointment, really."

"Let him go, will you?" said Set to the monster. "That's my prey."

"I just have to make a cut," he murmured as he prepared.

All right, I think that's it. Poor boy, he looked so inspired. But why did the pattern change? I've been here a thousand times, and that was too unusual. The odds were too low for him to do that.

"Well, it doesn't matter," thought Set. "Yuzuru, well, this boy doesn't wake up. I'll look after him a little.

Sincerely, Yuzuru, you're scum."
