With swiftness, Kai arrived on time at the combat department where he settled himself down onto his seat with anticipation for Sensei Mei's arrival.
Aoi, Leon, and Ethan couldn't contain their curiosity regarding Kai's visit to the staff room.
With a twinkle in his eye, Kai playfully replied: "I'm not quite ready to spill all of my secrets yet"
Baffled expressions passed amongst them before Ethan asked: "Kai could you give us a hint at least? We want to know why you went to see someone from the faculty! "
Kai laughed amiably before answering gently, "Well I suppose it's okay if I let this slip -I was not summoned there for disciplinary reasons!"
As everyone waited eagerly Sensei Mei arrived just in time for class.
During training Martial arts techniques were focused upon both individually and as part of group activity while Sensei Mei continued imparting valuable knowledge in her distinctive way throughout class.
The day proved quite challenging as they dedicated themselves to intense training sessions focused solely on reinforcing their martial arts techniques beyond what they thought possible before heading back home together.
However, just beforehand Kai hesitated long enough before telling everyone else about needing an urgent appointment with Master Liang first.
Intrigued by his sudden departure so close to finishing up especially while eagerly waiting to grab some much-deserved rest instead, his companions couldn't help but feel curious about the background of Kai's visit to Master Liang.
To this point, speculation regarding it led to Ethan suggesting the possibility of trouble creating it while masking its true reason from them.
Aoi shook her head and replied, "I don't think so. Kai assured us it wasn't trouble-related. Besides, his expression didn't match that of someone who got scolded."
Leon chimed in, "Exactly! He had that mischievous grin on his face. It must be something exciting or surprising."
They all shared a laugh, contemplating the possibilities.
Ethan then shifted the topic, asking about their progress in gathering spiritual energy.
Aoi shared that she felt her progress slowing down, estimating herself to be around 80 units.
Leon agreed, suspecting he was also nearing that threshold.
Curious, Aoi turned to Ethan, who confirmed a similar experience.

He took a seat, noticing the SpiritGauge on the table, reminiscent of the previous test.
Master Liang explained, "Just like the previous test, place your hand on the SpiritGauge and circulate your spiritual energy. It will display the results on the screen."
Kai nodded, following the instructions.
Within seconds, the screen revealed his spiritual energy level as 98 units.
Though a bit surprised, Master Liang congratulated him on his progress and revealed his insight.
"Kai, as you can see, you're approaching the 100-unit mark in spiritual energy. So, I suggest that instead of stopping there, you can strive to gather beyond 100 units. It will further solidify your foundation and aid you in future breakthroughs."
Kai's face brightened with a smile as he responded, "That's precisely what I was planning to ask you about.
Now it's clear, and I will try to gather beyond 100 units.
If you don't mind, Master Liang, may I ask you another question?"
Master Liang encouraged him, "Of course, go ahead."
Kai inquired, "When I arrived earlier, and even before knocking on the door, how were you able to sense my presence and reply before I entered?
Will I be able to do the same as my skills advance?"
Master Liang smiled warmly and replied, "Yes, Kai, as your realm rises and you gain more understanding, you will develop the ability to sense others' presence and reply accordingly.
It's a skill you will acquire along your journey."
Feeling satisfied with the response, Kai bid farewell to Master Liang and left the staff room, his mind filled with newfound determination.
As he made his way through the school's corridors, he think about the valuable guidance he had received.
