*Reloading bullets!
"Lidya, I hate to say this, but we have to work together to make room for Rudi!"
"Ah (sigh)! I know... I'll slow down the soldiers, the rest is up to you!"
From the top, they shouted at each other. The soldiers down there couldn't hear what they were shouting because of the loud noises produced by the runaway horses.
"I'm ready to blast, Micah!" Lidya yelled while standing behind the balcony fence.
The same magic she used to kill the Eruplion earlier she unleashed it again. This time it couldn't be used to kill, only to slow down their movements.
*Splash!
The barren village ground turned into mud and puddles. The soldiers with their iron boots would find it very difficult to move in such conditions.
"See who's struggling to move?!" Micah came out from his hiding spot and started aiming at them.
*Bang! *Bang!
He shot with enough time between shots to improve his accuracy. As a result, two soldiers were killed even before they could react.
*Bang! *Bang! *Bang!
Micah shot with the same pattern. And this time, 3 people were killed there.
It was like a one-sided attack. Where the soldiers could do nothing but wait for their demise.
"I won't let you! Ice Beam!"
One of the soldiers shot an ice magic just by swinging his hand.
Micah, surprised by this, immediately entered the attic and hid. Just a little late and he would have been injured immediately.
"Damn! There's actually a wizard among them!" He shouted angrily from inside the attic.
"Micah! I hate to say this, but he is not just one!" Lidya tried to shout back loudly, her voice now sounding quite shocked.
The magic soldiers, numbering about 10, came towards them. The situation worsened with Lidya seeing many archer units standing outside the village and getting ready to shoot.
"Micah! Come out! I need your help!"
Lidya tried to call the boy's name, but she didn't get an answer.
"Damn you!" (Lidya)
Lidya changed her water magic power to fire. She used her wand like a rifle, shooting it blindly towards the enemy.
*Swoosh! *Swoosh! *Swoosh!
The fireballs she shot grew larger and larger. To the point where if she kept shooting, she would end up burning the entire village.
"This is my limit!"
Like a bazooka, the large fireball struck the magic soldiers making it explode and disband their formations.
They had previously tried to create a barrier, but because of the powerful explosive of the fireball, the barrier they created was instantly destroyed, killing them all.
"Micah, the wizards are done, let's continue your actions!"
This time he came out and showed his face. He made a surprised expression when he saw that Lidya had already taken care of them.
"You did it?! Wow!" he exclaimed amazedly as he began shooting at the soldiers as usual.
"Hey! After we're done with this, let's take care of the ones outside too!"
"Outside?!"
Lidya pointed outside the village while activating a large barrier around the village. Micah, seeing the archer units, could only be surprised for a moment, his gaze returning to the village and focusing on the soldiers still inside.
"Alright, got it!" he said, continuing to shoot.
*Bang! *Bang! *Bang!
Everything in the village was clear. Now only the remaining soldiers outside.
Micah jumped off the roof and ran through the muddy streets and scattered soldier corpses all over the village road. There was no fear in him as he passed through those corpses; he expressed himself as usual as if this was something normal.
On the other side, Lidya, still on the balcony, saw a group of flying orbs heading towards her friend. Upon closer inspection, the flying orbs were not ordinary animals, but creatures resembling flying turtles. All the flying turtles were heading straight towards Micah. They had already considered Micah a threat here.
"Micah, I see flying turtle troops coming towards you!" Lidya shouted as loudly as she could until her throat dried up.
Hearing the shout so loudly, Micah immediately turned to the sky. He began to realize that the round shadows on the ground came from those in the sky. Fortunately, he wore sunglasses so he didn't feel the pain when looking directly at the sunlight.
"There are so many of them?!"
There were about 5 flying turtles flying in the air. They swooped down with their riders pointing their lance at Micah who was running.
*Bang! *Bang! *Bang!
Micah tried to shoot them, but their swooping speed was too fast, so none of the shots hit.
*Crash!
One flying turtle soldier tried to skewer Micah, but a barrier instantly appeared and blocked the lance.
Micah knew where the barrier came from; he looked toward Lidya and waved his hand to say thank you.
Lidya, still on the balcony, could only glare and raise her fist in a gesture for Micah to stay alert.
Another flying turtle troop swooped towards him, but this time he was ready.
*Bang! *Bang! *Bang! *Bang!
With 4 consecutive shots, Micah managed to injure the turtle and make it fall to the ground. The rider on it fell and instantly died as well.
*Crash!
Just as Micah tried to reload, another soldier tried to swoop in, but Lidya's help once again saved him.
"I'm ready!" he shouted as he came out of the barrier.
Micah continued his shooting and began to brutally kill them one by one. It happened continuously until they all ended.
When finished with the turtles, Micah continued his run to the archers who were still shooting the village and disturbing Rudi's fight with Marshal Corn.
The archers seemed to have no back protection when Micah was near them. They could only be scared as Micah began to finish them off one by one, some of them who were scared ran away in fear because of the boy's brutality on the battlefield.
In the village, Lidya, walking out onto the balcony, tried to reach the archers, but her magic circle couldn't be activated any further. She had to let the fleeing soldiers run and let them give their information to their masters.
A few seconds later, Micah met Lidya at the village entrance. His body was covered in blood stains and sweat everywhere. His breath was heavy from running quite far. Both his legs couldn't lift his weight anymore. All his energy had been used for the fight just now. His heart was pounding quite fast right now.
"Ah (sigh)! Ah~! I didn't expect... it would be so... tiring~!" he said exhaustedly.
"We still have to help Rudi!"
"What?!" His voice was hoarse.
"Come on! Let's go to Rudi now! We don't know what that kid needs right now!"
Lidya carried the exhausted Micah into the middle of the village, where Rudi was fighting with Marshal Corn.
If only the view was backed up a bit, it would be seen that the outside of the village, originally a wasted land and desert, had now turned into a sea of blood filled with dead humans. If only they (the people of this world) heard this story, they would clearly not believe it and think of it as just a fable. But if they saw this incident directly, they would be afraid and not even dare to meet whoever had done this massacre.
