"Catch them! They can be our mine workers!" The muscular man with a big large sword looked at the three youths with a disdainful gaze.
He saw Micah and Rudi as trash, while Lidya was looked upon with a lustful gaze due to her slender body. The man's gaze turned lecherous.
The three youths knew the meaning behind that lecherous look. Rudi felt helpless because his hands were tied, and Lidya could only cry because she could not do anything. Both her hands and feet were bound, rendering her body powerless.
Unlike the other two who had given up, Micah was different. He looked around for the best calculation to fight back.
*Staring, *staring, and *staring. He began to search for a way to escape from the clutches of these bandits.
"I want power!" his mind in chaos.
"I want power!"
"I want power!"
His anger continued to rise along with his brain's inability to find a solution.
His eyes locked onto a chain that bound his feet. He knew what he could do right now. He had never done it before, but if it was here, it might be allowed. There was no law like that here, he thought.
"Arghhhh!"
He gripped the chain that bound his feet tightly. He spun it like a lasso.
The bandits' gaze, which had previously been focused on Lidya, now shifted to Micah, who put on a fierce expression.
"Make him submit!" The bandit leader ordered his men to silence Micah.
*Bruck! *Crack!
However, that was where the bandit leader made a mistake.
Micah threw the chain at one of the bandits' necks. He then ran around, causing the unfortunate bandit's neck to be strangled to death.
Other bandits who saw it were shocked. It didn't take long for them to refocus on Micah, this time with anger.
"Don't act tough!"
Two bandits came towards him. This time they anticipated their necks.
Micah didn't feel scared when it happened. He was actually happy because his enemies started to aware of their necks.
*Crack!
His chain flew towards the legs of two bandits and locked them.
Micah immediately ran towards the first bandit. He stomped on the bandit's head several times until those poor souls lost consciousness. After finishing off the first bandit, he did the same to the second bandit.
The bandit leader, who saw his men die, began to raise his weapon.
Without any signal, the man swung his sword toward Micah.
*Bruck!
Unfortunately, Micah realized the direction of the attack. He defended himself with the chain that held his hand. As a result of the attack, the chain that held him was broken, so this time Micah could move more freely. His freed hand made Micah move faster than before. Micah immediately kick him and took the bandit leader's sword then slashed it towards his own master. This is what is called a backfire.
The body of the bandit leader lay on the ground. The blood flowing from the head that was no longer connected to the body continued to soak the place where Micah stood.
Lidya and Rudi looked at Micah with an incredulous expressions. The Micah they thought was just a laid-back kid instantly turned into a ferocious monster that brutally killed his opponent.
"It's okay... (panting)... It's okay... Everything under control... (panting)"
"Micah..." Lidya looked at her friend with concern. "You..." There were many things she wanted to say to him, but her concern for her friend's current condition held her back.
*Crunk!
Micah freed Rudi with the weapon he got from the bandit. His blood still dripped everywhere, soaking Rudi's hand.
"Micah... Thank you." Rudi didn't know how to speak in this kind of situation.
*Chunk! Prunk!
The weapon Micah stole from the bandit broke after he used it to free Lidya.
"I'm okay..." Lidya replied with a blank stare.
"We're not done here yet. The bandits will definitely chase after us!"
"Where are we going?!" (Rudi)
"I don't know, but we have to go first!" (Micah)
The three of them ran away from the scene of the incident. They through the forest, across the river, until they reached a vast savanna. They stopped to catch their breath and looked out across the savanna. They were awestruck and terrified at the same time, the two feelings merged into one, and it was undeniable that they were mesmerized by the savanna.
They saw a line of ice mountains to the north, a vast ocean to the west, and a walled city to the south. While to the east, there was nothing but the forest, the place they just come out of from.
Birds flew above them and formed the letter 'V' towards the east, where the ocean was located. They seemed to be preparing for a season they had been eagerly anticipating.
Around them, there were creatures that looked like pigs, but with horns like bulls and fur like sheep, walking around them. The creatures made a sound, "gugugu!" as the three youths approached them.
"Are these creatures harmless?" (Lidya)
"Well, they seem harmless to me." Rudi tried to touch their fur, which looked as soft as a sheep's.
"Be careful!" However, Micah stopped him. "We still don't know anything about this world! It's better not to be reckless!"
"So, how can we tell if they're aggressive or not?" (Rudi)
Micah looked around, but there was nothing but grass around them.
"Maybe we can?" Nevertheless, Micah still wanted to try.
The creatures were here to eat grass, so if Micah fed them like cattle on a farm, maybe the strange creatures would eat it.
Micah tried to pull out some grass near him. The grass was then tied with longer grass and then offered to the creature.
Micah began to sweat when he tried it. One wrong move and one of them would become a history(they died).
Rudi and Lidya, who were watching Micah's action were sweating every second and every step of the creature approached Micah that hand holding the grass.
Getting closer and closer, munch!
Gobble! Gobble! Gobble!
The creature ate the grass held by Micah without biting him at all.
The other two were instantly relieved, but Micah, who did it, could only freeze when he knew what he did had worked.
The creature left them alone after the grass in Micah's hand was finished. There was no sign of resistance, and the creature left peacefully.
"Phew... It's safe after all." Micah rubbed his chest. He looked relieved as he watched the creature leave.
"Glad you safe(smiled wryly)!"
"Don't do anything crazy, please!"
Lidya did let out a sarcastic laugh upon learning of Micah's survival through his crazy idea. However, on the other hand, Rudi seemed deeply concerned when Micah carried it out. He appeared unwilling to lose his friend.
"HOOOI! What were you guys doing there?!" A voice called out to the trio from afar.
A girl with long pink hair and a man who could be her lover waved their hands at the three young men.
Somehow, Micah could sense that the girl with pink hair was talkative, has a happy aura, and maybe an airhead. As for the man, he emanated an aura of calmness and patience.
"The talkative woman and her calm lover, I can sense it from them both." (Micah)
"Let me guess, 'tis surely from-"
"Shut up!"
When she was about to mention it, he quickly brushed it off. He hates when his taste is mocked, especially by Lidya. Their relationship had been complicated from the start. They were never in sync, and what they desired was always different. Rudi, who was caught in the middle, had to act as a mediator to prevent unwanted incidents from happening between them.
The arrival of the pink-haired girl and the calm man would mark the beginning of their journey in this world.
