"Sir! Can you give me a discount?"
Just as the store was about to close, another group of customers lined up in front of Luis' store. These people are the owners of restaurants, pubs and food stalls in the food street. Everyone that is dealing with selling of food needs to buy seasoning, dressings or even some ingredients that are not easily accessible near the port town.
Luis greeted the bunch of enthusiastic customers, though most of them just wanted some discount, at least they didn't make trouble. With the rare seasoning and spices and most importantly they were cheap compared to buying spices abroad or from local merchants, it really is a big bargain. Though the spice merchants were not delighted by what Luis was doing, they couldn't do a thing or they failed to do a thing.
Anyway Luis only sold some of the ingredients to the locals or migrants that are doing business in the Wester town. As for the merchants that want to profit on his business? Let them try.
As times goes by, all the customers have already bought the things that they wanted and the group of four teens have already finished their job and went home. Only Luis and Sarah was left sitting on the couch while watching Sarah's favorite shows.
"It's already been almost a year huh?" Luis suddenly asked.
"Uhm!" Sarah then nodded, though her eyes was fixed on the TV so there was a high chance that she didn't't paid attention.
Though Luis got a half-hearted answer, he never cared, he was just talking to himself. "It was a lot harder by myself at first but, sigh, I'm just a guy that really don't know what to do and though that maybe opening a store would be good for a change. Never thought that it lasted longer than I expected." Remembering the tough times, loose or fail just wanted to change my boring life. 'I really missed the past, and also I don't want to remember the past.'
A few minutes later, he feels drowsy and finally fell asleep.
