Chapter 44 - Chapter 2 DREAM (PART 2)

"HI! May I ask- AHH!" Just as Sarah wanted to take a step forward towards the two, she suddenly bumped on a glass-like wall.

"Aw! My nose.." While massaging her little nose, she was bewildered by the phenomenon! "What is this?" Touching the invisible wall, she realized that the two humans didn't even noticed her!

"Bea, I'm gonna bring you to your knew home and as your new father I'll promise you that you won't regret it." Speaking in a low and gentle voice, with a soothing smile that you would trust immediately, he looked at the little girl holding on his hands.

But when Sarah heard what that man said, she suddenly felt goosebumps. As the man called the girl Bea she suddenly remembered a memory two years ago.

…..

In the town near the Maharlika's forest, their stood a small orphanage, a two story building. In their, Sarah lived for almost three years, she was still two years old when she started living on the orphanage. The principal told her when she was brought to here, she was unconscious and never knew what was her past after waking up.

As a kid, she really doesn't care what her past was, since everyone was good to her and Sarah treated everyone as her true family. The principal treated everyone as her own children, though a bit strict but not to the point that she would hurt them.

Later, when she was almost five years old, the principal got sick. She was already old, though never asked what was the principal's age was but even if you looked at her you will know that she is that old already. Until the last month of the year, on a heavy rain and thunderstorm, she finally passed away. She left the world leaving behind 10 unwanted children, that were not adopted.

They wept for days, both from the grief of their *mother's* passing and also the unknown future. Left with no other choice, some of them looked for jobs on the town, some asked for help from others and also scavenged for some leftovers.

Days passed by quickly, though their life was a lot harder, they still persevere hoping for a better tomorrow. Some of the children even dream of being taken away to live on their new families, being fed with delicious meal. On the last day of the week, a man suddenly came on a carriage.

The children felt familiar to that man and after he explain to them they remembered he was that guy who adopted Bea, one of the kids on the orphanage a year ago! He then came back to adopt another kid to play with Bea since she talked everyday that she missed her friends. As he learned that the principal has passed away already, he suddenly said that he wants to adopt all of them!

Sarah then pulled herself back and looked at the little girl who was holding that man's arm. "She was smiling at him, skipping along the walkway towards the parked carriage, also expecting her new home and family would be!

"Yes that's her, poor Bea!"
