~~NARRATOR'S POV~~
Carmela made her way to the stairs, always turning back to check if the creature was behind her.
The worst thing she could wish for is having an attack right now
" ANYONE THEIR HELP ME !!! " she screamed increasing her pace
' Why did the stairs suddenly become so long? ' she thought, cursing whoever built it.
She suddenly made a heartbreaking stop seeing the creature in front of her, swallowing the lump in her throat she turned around making a U-turn but the creature suddenly appeared right in front of her giving her a sly smile
" Hey, pretty creature... you see I am just a little girl and I haven't even fulfilled my dreams of becoming a chef …
So let's have a deal you can eat zamiel instead cause he's more good-looking take a look at me how skinny I've become, he doesn't even fit me properly " she said with a nervous smile taking a step backward but unknown to her the strange creature already knew she was trying to run away from it.
It suddenly grabbed Carmela by her neck carrying her up, when Carmela no longer felt her feet on the ground she suddenly began to panic but when she thought she was about to have an attack the creature let go of her neck making Carmela bang her head pretty hard on the stairs.
As she rolled down the stairs her while her blood painted it changing its color.
Asher and Zamiel looked up to find Carmela rolling down the stairs as blood gushed out of her head.
Xavier who was already absorbed in the ritual wasn't aware of his surroundings he didn't know the state Carmela was in, and both his brothers decided not to Inform him knowing he would stop the ritual abruptly
Asher walked towards Carmela to check if she was still alive and after confirming that she was indeed alive he sighed in relief
" She's just unconscious " he informed Zamiel who just nodded and walked lazily towards them both.
He lifted Carmela and took her to the middle of the symbol
" What's the time ? " he turned to Asher
"Midnight"
They looked up to find the tempter flying towards Carmela but immediately it got into the symbol and it became stiff.
Xavier suddenly opened his eye with worry all over his face
" Oh no this can't be " He ranted worrying both Asher and Zamiel as they sensed his sudden tense behavior
Xavier stood up and walked towards Asher
" What's wrong? " Asher asked
" The ritual is incomplete.. a heavy force disconnected me from the realm " He sighed
" What ?! " Zamiel screamed as if wasn't possible for a natural force to disconnect a god
The ritual being incomplete means a lot of things.
It's either the forces from the other worlds are trying to come to this world, or the tempter was able to capture Carmela's soul or the worst of all Carmela has passed over to the world of the dead
' But which was it? ' the three thought, sick worried
" Xavier are you sure you recited the spell correctly and didn't mess it up " Zamiel said getting annoyed and irritated
" Y..yes I did am sure of it," Xavier said on the verge of tearing up and peeing on his body
As he couldn't help but blame himself if anything happened to his sister in law
" Then you better fix this shit " Zamiel screamed as a dangerous aura emitted from him scaring both is brothers
Even if he doesn't love Carmela he does care for her wellbeing and wouldn't allow any harm to come to her even if it means risking his life
" Gu..Guys look, " Asher said pointing to the symbol on the ground where Carmela was laid.
Her blood traced down the lines used in drawing the symbol emitting a very eye blinding light and unlike the first time it didn't form into a ball instead it turned into flames of fire.
The wailing and screams from the tempter could be heard across the house and the trio had to cover their ears so they wouldn't turn deaf.
They washed as the tempter burnt to ash and after that, the symbol also began to burn
None dared to go close to the fire as the force behind the fire was still unknown and could harm them also.
The ground surrounding Carmela was on fire but it didn't seem to cause her any discomfort nor harm her, instead it was like a shield protecting her from danger.
When the fire died out the wound on Carmela's head also healed up surprising the trio who stood there watching.

" Who is she? " Asher asked Zamiel checking for any more injuries on her body
" I don't know... and I doubt if she knows as well " Zamiel sighed taking a sit beside Carmela
" Whoever she is, she is surely very special...and it could be that that's the reason Lucifer is after her? " Asher concluded and Zamiel just nodded.
He was sincerely left speechless seeing what Carmela's blood did to the tempter
although tempters are low-ranked demons they weren't easy to get rid of
" Zamiel, Amber is dying slowly " Xavier suddenly ran into the room panting
" Fuck " Zamiel said as the tri ran towards little Ambers room.
Zamiel never liked Amber and that's a fact but Carmela does..
And she wouldn't spare him if anything happens to the little child.
Both Zamiel and Xavier stood aside while watching as Asher attended to her, and after some minutes he sighed in relief
" She's stable now " he informed
" Then what happened the first time? " zamiel inquired
" I think the tempter used her body to get in here..and now that it is destroyed, her soul is slowly coming back " he gave the best analysis that he could think of
" Wait.. so you mean little Amber's body was being manipulated by the tempter, " Xavier asked to be sure of what he just heard
" Yes "
Xavier was getting tired of getting one boom after the other,
So he excused himself so he could go rest and process what happened today.
Zamiel on the other hand suddenly realized why he always felt negative energy from the little girl when ever she was around him.
He sighed in relief as one problem has been taken care of and he's just left with finding the devil's daughter
