James had won the third match in a row at this point as it was going back and forth between him and Angel, they always used to lose but now they haven't lost a game. "No fair, you guys got better than me." Finnick stormed away as he set his controller down to his room.
"It's been two hours and he isn't back. Something is up." James was on edge as the sun had set outside. Angel was partially worried as Willow relaxed more into the couch.
"It's Alastos, of course he is going to be late, they are roping him into more darts." Willow wasn't worried. "The last few days he has been winding down there more than normal. It's a comfort for him."
"This isn't like him when it comes to getting food though, that's my issue." James put his hoodie on from when he was here. The black and orange decals on it with the white base made him happy like the day Dante saved them.
"Where do you think you are going?" Willow looked at James as Angel popped up to follow her brother.
"Alastos, either he is there or on the way back." James opened the door slowly. "And if he isn't we have more issues." James stepped out as Willow rolled her eyes, only one person could reasonably stop them and he was far away according to reports.
Angel and James walked down the street as Alastos was a common spot for them due to their kindness in the inner city. They were glad no one else was out on the streets as they looked ahead and saw a fire. Stopping a few blocks away.
"I am going to get a view of what it is." Angel lifted off and glided to the burning building. It was Alastos. Her horror became true as she smelt the unmistakable stench of human flesh. Soaring back to James she pulled him as fast as possible. "It's on fire!"
James and Angel took off down the street as an electric web was set down in the street to catch James and Angel. James stopped and tried to catch Angel as she tumbled through the web and started seizing on the ground as forty men scaled down the building. The homeless man stayed hidden in the box. Covering Angel with his old jacket.
James turned to his sister as he saw she was safe, looking behind him, he saw Dante's bat and darts. It was the worst case scenario. James fired up his gloves as the claws came out. "Where is he?"
"Look at that, usually it's a mousetrap, not a cat trap, you guys are really still alive." Bane stood in the alley as several guns became pointed at James. "Your buddy is alive. I don't think he handles pain well."
"If you don't let him go, I will kill each one of you slowly." James' hair slowly turned into red as his rage built. The men standing at attention alert of his moves.
"That's out of my hands now, I gave him to the government for a good payday, you two will put me into retirement for how much you two are dead or alive." Bane laughed as James launched his claws into eight of the armed men as they opened fire on where he was. He dashed behind their lines as he was nearly invisible to them with his speed.
Slitting their jugulars one by one with each of his claws he made sure they were able to watch each other die as each time they fell he moved their heads to face one another. All that was left was Bane as he smiled. "You haven't changed a bit, you probably still have daddy issues."
James just tilted his head a little to the right, staring down Bane as Bane laughed. "My aura is too strong, you couldn't defeat me last time, what makes you think it'll be any different?" Bane kept laughing as a claw was in his shoulder.
"That you already died." James was behind him as the blood from the neck slash started to spurt out. Bane fell to his knees as James started stabbing him repeatedly in the chest. Each time the claws would dig deeper into his flesh as Angel remained frozen on the ground. James heard sirens as he stopped all of his aggression.
"You, can you take these things and her away from here. Go down five blocks and turn left, third door, knock three, one, two." James handed the darts and broken bat to the homeless man. He recognized the darts as he nodded, grabbing the food bag next to the box as he took off following his directions.
The police vehicles approached him slowly as they pulled their weapons at him. "SURRENDER AND KEEP YOUR HANDS UP!" One officer shouted.
"All I want to know is if Dante Lark is alive, if you can tell me that I will cooperate and you can take me in without resistance." James glared at the officer as the partner radioed in the request.
The dispatcher responded as quickly as possible. "Sir, your friend is alive. He is currently being tortured for information."
"If he dies, I will kill each and every one of you." James extended his arms. "You can take me in. Leave a note on the ground that he is safe and do it with your press release." The officers slowly approached James. One of them wrote on a notepad that Dante was alive and set it on the ground while the other put handcuffs on his wrists and fists. Putting a gag on him and a shock collar.
"Never said how bad we could restrain you." The officer laughed as he put it on the maximum shock. James fell to his knees as he felt the shock flow through him. His stacks skyrocketed as they put him in the back of the police cruiser.
Angel came around once she heard the knocks on the door. Willow opened it and looked at the man. "Where are James and Dante?" She growled at him as Angel rubbed her eyes and fluttered her wings.
"The kid told me to take these to here." He held up the bag as the darts rested on the top of the food boxes. Angel rushed past the two of them inside and turned the news on. It is what she feared.
"Famous diner and bar Astalos was burned down earlier due to it's support of the hybrids, famous hybrid hunter Bane burned it down after capturing Dante Lark, known supplier and supporter of the hybrids." The news report started as Angel froze.
"After Dante was brought in by Bane's hired hands. He set a trap for the two terrorists Angel and James. Dying in the process as James killed him and forty others. Angel is yet to be found. James came in willingly." The tv was punched by Angel as she was fuming.
