Angel looked around as Willow rushed to her room to grab her stuff as Finnick came down the stairs. "Is everything okay?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "Is Dante back with the food?"
"Can you watch the kid? He has the veggie stir fry, if you want to eat any of the other meals you can." Angel waved Finnick over as she pointed him to the table. "Stay put." Willow came dressed in her armor with her sword on her back.
"I don't think I could eat another bite, your friend paid for my meal." He sat down at the table and pulled out a deck of cards as Angel had PTSD from Diddler. Looking away. He hid the cards as her and Willow left and locked the door behind them.
"Only one place they would take the two largest criminals." Willow pulled it up on her phone as Angel pulled out hers. "The Maxis, the world powers are always there and making a court decision as we speak, the trial is beginning."
"PICK UP WE NEED YOU!" Angel shouted into her phone as the call went into voicemail as in frustration she chucked it into the ground, shattering it. She grabbed her hair as she was worried about the two of them as Willow grabbed her by the collar and started dragging her as she lifted off and carried Willow with her.
"Dante Lark and James. Uh, no last name given." James wanted to speak through the muzzle as it shocked him, causing him to stumble a half a step before standing straight up. "For your extreme actions the courts deem you two more than dangerous to have a lawyer." The bench was composed of fifty old men and women surrounding the center table.
"My clients would like to have one, and it's not against the law." Lone was dressed in a suit as James was taken back. Being shocked by the collar once more as his hair was slowly growing darker as he remained calm. Walking up to the table he tapped a handful of times gently on James' back in code.
"And who are you?" One of the men in the mass dressed in a completely black robe with black hair to match.
"The name is Oak Ultrasilver." He just needed to buy James time as he slowly nodded behind him. "You brought both my clients here without my permission and refused them a lawyer. Which is against the world's agreed natural laws."
The mass of people grumbled as they couldn't argue the current angle. "The defense can have this lawyer. Is this your first case?" The man who spoke before talked once more as Lone nodded.
"The charges for Dante Lark are as follows: One count of harboring a fugitive, two counts of assault. Four counts of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic terrorism by propaganda." A lady read the charges off the paper next to her. "Do you understand these charges and agree with them?"
Lone waved his hand as Dante watched it. "We understand the charges and plead not guilty as well as self defense." The mass grumbled more as the security tripled in the room. "You tried to make him guilty, let the rest of the hearing sort that out."
"Mr. Ultrasilver, more outbursts from you and I will see you thrown out." The lady pointed her gavel at him. Lone bowed as he understood. "As for the other person. The monster you are defending is charged with five hundred charges of murder, manslaughter and assault. With three hundred acts of destruction of government property and domestic terrorism."
The lady pointed at them. "How does the defense plead?" James growled as he was shocked more, no longer fazed by the electric current flowing through him.
"Not guilty, your honor." Lone spoke for James as he kept shocking himself as Lone watched what he was doing. Tapping his foot twice, Lone gave him a code to keep it more discrete.
"To start with that savage. If charged as guilty he will be sentenced to one thousand years of solitary confinement with experimentation." A third man much older as his grizzled voice shook the room. "If Dante Lark is charged, it is executed right here." One of the guards put a collar on Dante as he was shocked like Lone.
"If I may your honors, don't you think that these charges for my client who was attacked by the strongest hybrid hunter and defended himself are, extreme?" The rest of the courtroom laughed as Lone was worried.
"No, we as a court have our mind made, you can plead your case but we need to show an example of what happens to humans that harbor terrorists." the lady smiled as she was the only one not laughing still.
'Well, I really have to stall now.' Lone looked up to the mass of men and women. Opening his briefcase he pulled out pictures of the street where Dante was jumped as well as the CCTV cameras of the street. "My client was on his way home from a restaurant he visited often, carrying food for what is presumed for family."
"Your top hunter pulled out in front of him and surrounded him. Triggering his flight or fight response. And you like to quote animals so much, like a cornered dog he bit back versus his men. Breaking one hand, and crippling the others." Lone spoke as the guards grabbed him by the shoulders.
"Oak Ultrasilver, if you don't shut your mouth." The guard put a pistol to Lone's skull. "We will execute you as well as the other criminal."
'Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck!' Lone stayed quiet. He needed Astral here, he had his powers suppressed by Alexa, if he used them it would sound much worse alarms.
"The court has deemed the fate of the monster to Ultrasilver's left as guilty." The lady smacked her gavel as James clamped down on the muzzle and shattered it. Blood leaked from the corners of his mouth.
"Fate is consequential based on actions. If fate had wanted me dead it would have killed me before I ever met you, I was destined to be a creature of the mines, however I had a savior and friends who reached out to help me from a young age after my parents died, it if was fate to save me it was those actions of fate. Not fate itself. And now fate will serve your head to me on a silver platter!" Dante was moved to tears.
Lone and Dante both leaned away from him as he was ready for battle Dante flet the collar tightening as it was triggered to kill him. Lone slipped his fingers in there and held it from not choking him as the guard moved the gun from Lone's skull to Dante's. Firing the bullet went through his skull, spattering brain matter on the table.
