Zeta's feet slid backwards as he looked to the robot in front of him. Robit consumed the entire building they were standing in. Zeta's motor whirred as Robit threw a steel beam at him. Only for it to be sliced apart.
Robit closed the gap and sent steel daggers at Zeta which were parried with his sword. Robit had no way to counter this method and the weapons he had, he needed to absorb more of the surrounding area.
Zeta saw several flaming steel balls fired at him. He deflected them while using his off hand to crush the robots that tried to tie down his feet. Zetal saw how the surroundings were turning from the cityscape to a rocky and uneven field. To try and throw off his gyroscopics and have him fall over.
Zeta slammed his foot into the ground, leveling the hill it stood on as it became a sinkhole. He saw the window of opportunity and weakness leave as Robit charged in. slamming a steel beam across the mech's shell.
Zeta was able to shrug off the hit as he spotted something else. The robots swarming them have stopped moving. That is good for him. Robit has another large steel pylon slamming down on Zeta as it cracks his outer shield. Activating his booster pack he backs away from the spot.
He saw the state of his leg had been gnawed on by the planet. To develop a weakness? Zeta didn't think as Robit fired a laser cannon round at his chest. Zeta summoned his sheet metal shield as he fractured the light attack.
One of the shrapnel pieces flew right by Astrid as she was slowly drifting deeper into space, eventually to the point where she would fully escape orbit. Zeta pressed a button on his dash. Prototype wings filled the background as Robit stared him down.
"Even if you escape I will chase you." Robit spoke to the robotic traitor he was facing. All that was heard was a boom as Zeta floated in space, his pilot hatch opening as he slowly pushed Astrid inside.
"Astrid, can you move?" Zeta typed on the internal screen as he descended back on the planet.
"No, all of my joints are locked up. Nyan is in a similar state. All I can do is direct you and optimize your attacks and watch the blindspots." Astrid smiled as she made it to safety.
"Rodger." Zeta landed as two turrets became mounted on his shoulders. They opened fire as Robit started to turn into shreds. As the machine turrets opened fire and cut down Robit, Zeta helped with his railgun rifle.
The pile of metal shifted backwards and reformed into one giant mound of metal, shaped as a very clear and blocky robot, yet seemed so smooth on the edges. It motioned with one arm as a hole was created under their feet to swallow them whole.
Zeta activated the wings once more as they hovered in place. "I don't want to shift into final phase yet. But we may have to in order to take him down." Zeta's railgun started to hit Robit as the rounds were bouncing off of him.
"Can't we just go through him?" Astrid commented as she signaled for his sword.
"No, we can't get close right now." Zeta fired two rockets at Robit as they did no damage. The durability wasn't due to the metal's resistance but due to its ability to be reformed after kinetic damage instantly.
"Astrid, I will do attack sequence triage, study what happens to the metal so we can put this thing down." Zeta fired past Robit as it swung at him in midair. One air roll later and the arm fell to the surface as he slashed through it. Being caught by a second arm that formed instantly.
"No way did that just appear!" Astrid was shocked as she reactivated the overshield. It sliced the fingers of Robit off as they got a safe distance away. Zeta pulled out his hyper missiles as they struck true to the core of Robit. Blue glimmer's sparkled from where the rockets hit.
"I got it!" Astrid yelled as a beam was fired at them. They had no choice but to take it as it clips both wings and they crash to the ground. In the crater Robit draws back his punch as it is sent down at the two of them.
Morphing nearly instantly Zeta takes a half step back and becomes his colossus form. Stabbing a steel beam into Robit's hand before using arm thrusters to smash in Robit's skull. The hit connected as the head flew off. Regenerating smoothly and quickly Zeta backs up on his multiple tiered feet.
Astral looked up as Zeta was at his full power. "There he is. Want to watch?" He got onto his feet as he summoned one giant chair for the two to share.
"Gladly, don't forget the popcorn." Jaimie sat down as Astral handed her popcorn with extra salt and butter.
"You think Adam's evacuation shuttle gets here before the fight is over?" Astral asked his wife as he sat down. She nodded no as he took a handful of popcorn and started eating it.
Everyone was watching the battle from afar or from the safety of a scope. "That's the extent of Astral's power. He can sit back while he lets his creation toy around with this threat." Achilles spoke as his tone was brooding. He wasn't happy.
"That man could also end this fight in mere moments, but they are waiting for something." Airsoft commented back, irritated at his ally.
"What's that?" Proto and Omaha spoke in sync.
"What happens if the planet starts to crumple like a paper ball? Yes there is an atmosphere here but the problem is. We are still on it. Adam has a shuttle coming as fast as possible meanwhile we have to watch." Airsoft spoke as the rest of them turned to ghosts.
"We need this fight to last as long as possible." Airsoft looked into the sky, the ship wouldn't be here for another five minutes. "Let's just hope Astral's toys are bad at their job."
