Zeta's engines whirred to life as Astrid finally loosened up in the safety of Zeta's more roomy shell. "We have to take him down now!" Astrid yelled as the screen turned green. Zeta's arms opened up as a barrage of heavy artillery rockets rained out.
Robit build a metallic wall. So much of the planet he can control yet he can't trap one of the legs of Zeta inside of a sinkhole. He has to win the old fashioned way rather than using one of his tricks.
Zeta had a massive artillery cannon form on his shoulder as it charged. Robit threw a metal ball above Zeta who let it be as he fired a round from the cannon. Hitting the left side of Robit as he works on reforming.
"Shrapnel storm." Robit closed his right hand as the ball from above exploded. Sharp edges sliced through Zeta's body with his own metal. Astral watched as the paneling was ripped through.
"So they are using his metal against him." Astral ate a handful of popcorn as Jaimie smiled. The two were dissecting the battle as it happened. Prepared to fix any issues if they all could escape the planet in one piece.
Astrid planted the split legs in different points and stayed sturdy as more weapons fire rained from Zeta. "Zeta, use the alpha beam!" Astrid popped open a bottle of booze to refill her fluids for her hydraulic pressure.
"Charging alpha beam. Core has sustained no damage from that hit. Structural integrity is stable." Zeta spoke inside to Astrid as Robit came swinging with a giant metal beam. Zeta brought his right arm and activated a repulser switch. As the steel hit his arms it swung backwards uncontrollably. Forcing Robit to back up a pace.
"Twenty percent on the alpha beam. We can do this!" Astrid exclaimed as Robit grabbed the soil once more. A steel blade with a blue edge was formed as he pulled it from the ground. Astrid pressed a button as the overshield was still down to charge the beam.
"Do not panic Astrid. We still have this fight secured." Zeta grabbed his right forearm as a blade extended from it. Robit swung down from above to split Zeta down the middle who blocked it with the blade still lodged in his arm. Robit moves the sword downward to cut off the mech's hand.
Zeta punches his left fist directly into the hands of Robit. Stalling him for a moment as the sword drops from his arm and close to the ground. Catching it with his right arm he slices both of Robit's arms off from the elbow inward.
Robit takes a step back as he reformed his arms. At this rate they can't sustain damage from range if he can cripple the machine. He hurled two spiked balls at Zeta as the sword melted back into the ground coming back into him.
Zeta slashed the steel out of the air as it wrapped around the sword. He stabbed it into the ground as the sword stayed firm. Zeta tried to pull it out to no avail as Robit formed a small cannon on his left shoulder.
"On it!" Astrid pulled a cord as a missile launched from Zeta's back. The hatch opened as it soared upward.
"Too slow." Robit started laughing, the robotic voice echoing the planet as a blue steel projectile was fired straight through Zeta's chest. The missile came down hard. Leveling the mech Robit had formed as he became one with the planet.
"Core stability, ninety percent. Integrity forty percent." Zeta's voice sounded drained as the alpha bean became fully ready to be charged. A cannon slowly started rolling from the distance.
"A worthy fight brother, but in the end, us robots stand no chance for this weapon." Robit stood on the barrel of the cannon as a blue light was seen from the inside of the cannon.
"His forces are destroyed, his threat is meaningless! ZETA FIRE THE ALPHA CANNON!" Astrid exclaimed as Zeta's hands clasped together. "Together we are unstoppable!" Astrid mirrored her companion from the safety of her cockpit.
A blue beam of light was fired from Robit's old fashioned cannon. The laser stays full and continuous. Being spearheaded by the metal from Zeta.
"Alpha beam. Fire." Zeta's hands formed into a diamond as a red energy wave formed in between them. Slowly the wave formed into a ball. The formed into one solid beam as it clashed with the beam that Robit fired.
Purple sparks flew from where the lasers were colliding. At first it was directly in front of Zeta, the heat from the collision didn't bother him as he pressed his arms forward. The laser slowly grew as it started to push the blue laser away. Robit stood in shock.
'Pure electrical energy being bypassed by what?' Robit thought it to be impossible as the beam slowly was pushed back. The purple sparks moved farther from Zeta and closer to Robit. Zeta looked at his meters. Pressure was flooding, structural integrity was dropping fast.
"Now, overclock." Zeta issued the command as Astrid flipped the two backup switches. His wings flared alive, despite being clipped the provided stability by clasping his arms up. The beam reached halfway between as it started to move faster downhill to Robit.
"This is how it ends, killed by a member of my own kind." Robit saw the end in front of him. The wall of purple sparks growing towards him as it consumed him and the cannon. Melting them instantly.
The planet slowly started to crumble as the shuttle came into view. Astral and Jaimie rushed over to Zeta as the shuttle hovers next to everyone else. Pete stands at the entrance and laughs. "This place crumbled beneath your might, get on quick!" He extended his arm helping each person onto the shuttle as Achilles and Airsoft lag behind to help the others up.
"We still have to get Astral, Jaimie and Zeta." Airsoft yelled as the pilot looked over at the colossal sized mech.
"You think we are weight rated to carry that with our magnets?" The pilot yelled out as they saw chunks of the planet start flying away.
"Get over there before it's too late!" Achilles hollered as everyone else strapped themselves in their seats. Outside of Angel who grabbed the handrails. The pilot saw everyone on board as he flew over to Zeta.
"Hey buddy, you did it, you and Astrid completed the mission!" Astral was rubbing the metal hull as the mech whirred in approval.
"Astral we aren't leaving them are we?" Jaimie sat up the mech after it toppled over.
"Nope." The shuttle pulled around to them as a purple glow surrounded Zeta. "This is our ride." Astral offered a hand to Jaimie as she hopped up to the shuttle. She stood at the end of the ramp as Astral hovered above.
"Pilot use your magnets in segments two, four and eight. I will be damned if we fuck up his internals on the way back." Jaimie requested as Astral watched the door close. He was patching up Zeta with blocks of hardlight to secure him for the space trip back to the Red Merle.
The pilot nodded as he activated the magnets. A soft thud was heard as the mech attached to the shuttle. "We are off to home." The pilot announced to the passengers of the shuttle as they left the planet. Watching the robotic world be ripped apart and turn into a handful of other planets across the solar systems of the galaxy.
Astral pressed a button on his gauntlet as the green light was given to Red Merle to open back up all facilities and begin operating at one hundred percent capacity. "Now, why did you all come other than to disobey orders?"
