Chapter 116 - Astral's Rise Part 68: Deep Space

As Astral and Jaimie walked off of the shuttle Proto, Omaha and Airsoft walked up on them. "So, when it comes to the library we want to look close?" Airsoft asked as Astral gave him a thumbs up.

"So while you are in there, you must look at everything. No missing details, and if you find the correct thing, you will see much more than what is normally there." Astral spoke as Achilles walked out of the shuttle. As Airsoft glared at Achilles he dismissed himself to go to the library.

"We now head to the bridge, there are a couple of people you need to meet before things get settled before we take out the Sacramentum." Jaimie spoke as a clone handed her a tablet.

"Ah so the dogpound is ready for the ultimate battle and test for them, they have been suited up and are ready." Jaimie handed the tablet to Astral as they walked up the bridge. Achilles followed them closely. Once they reached the bridge the crew was ready. All of them were waiting for the game plan for taking down the Sacramentum.

"Everyone, meet our good friend Achilles, he comes with our newest wave of recruits. These numbers are amazing and enough to hammer them home." Jaimie spoke as she saw the clone numbers at a high level.

"He will lead the new batch of trainees in the conquest. I can't wait to see his ability to lead a more powerful army that is upgraded with modern weapons." Astral spoke as the holo table lit up. "What are we dealing with in the Sacramentum?"

Alexa popped up, waving and saying hi to Kayla and Murphy. "The status of their alliance is fringe, the problem they are having is between the two major powers they are feuding. Both sides do not like the leadership and think they should be in charge. Until they collapse that leaves their backbone of the army. The Peons. Open for a bond to pull them out."

Astral tapped the map. "There are plenty of planets they control due to them needing resources and reproduction. But with the three of the species being different, we think they must have some sort of hub world."

"We will be divided into three teams, Adam and Achilles. The Dogpound, Jaimie and Astral. Sal, Jax, and Zane with the Red Merle." Alexa showed the diverted force count on the table as well. The group came to a collective conclusion. They watched the map separate the troops and forces.

"The plan is as follows: Astral goes into the Peon homeworld and communicates with us the locations of the planets we are looking for. Adam and Achilles will take on the Apparazza with one half of our fleet. Sal, Jax and Zane will take out the Tizzle's. After meeting up with Astral, Jaimie and the Dogpound will find the core mesh world of the alliance and crush them." Shiro laid it out as clear as day.

"What about Proto, Omaha and Airsoft? If the three of them are so useful Why aren't they leading the charge with Astral or Zane?" Nevada asked as Astral looked over at him.

"In due part of the fact they ran the last operation smoothly, with Airsoft being injured he is on some down time to recover and Proto and Omaha would not be as effective without him leading them." Astral explained it from the militaristic point of view rather than how questioning Airsoft really is.

"So the plan is to wait for you to scout out where we all go? Then what?" Minnesota asks as Carolina nudged her softly.

"I have a handmade capitol ship by me where you all will be waiting for my signal, once that happens you swoop in and help me evacuate any of the Peons who want to join us and take us to their capitol, from there your armor will put you a class above those aliens as long as you nine work together." Astral pulled up the Everlast. Showing the diagram of the ship and how potent it was.

"So we are to assist you when we can on the ground after we find their core world." Indy asked as Jaimie nodded. "Why can't we just hit the core world with the Red Merle and bypass the fighting?"

"Something important is in that core world, we have to find it, or who it is more likely to be." Jaimie spoke as it clicked for all of them.

"So you are bringing us to distract the main forces?" Hawaii asked.

"No, Fireteam's Wolf, Angel, and Falcon are providing assistance including three clone regiments. Not just the one we had on earth." Astral told them as they sighed.

"We did sign up for this, too late to back out now?" Wash tried to make a joke as it fell flat among the Dogpound.

"Besides, unlike what happened on earth, the difference." Astral held out his pistol and rested it on the table. "Technology of them hardly advanced due to the infighting, your armor should be able to take more shots. Just no diving on grenades, kick them or run." Astral looked to Nevada as he rolled his eyes.

Alexa looked over to Astral. "We begin the operation whenever you hit the launch button." Astral looked at the console. Even if the Sacramentum had a powerful person, they could take him, unless what Titan said was true, and some forgo the tournament in fret of protecting their homeland.

Astral rubbed his forehead, pressing the button he walked off. Not dawning his helmet he thought back to when the gods told him he had to join their tournament. 'Is it the gods themselves that destroy the galaxy or do they send someone like Titan?' He entered his personal hangar seeing the Everlast for the first time since he made it. "What a beautiful ship." He gently caressed the hull near him as the others followed him into the hangar.

"Wow, this doesn't look like all of the other ships." Utah looked at it in awe as the rest of the Dogpound stopped to admire the beauty of the ship. Jaimie walked past them and gave Astral a hug which he embraced.

"Something was troubling you after you pressed the button. I don't think you have any worries about this now, but about something down the line when we leave the galaxy." Jaimie held him up and smiled, looking into his eyes. "We can figure it out together!" Astral smiled as Jaimie let her down.

"Thank you, I can't wait for whatever vacation we take after all of this madness is over." Astral gave a quick kiss to her cheek before looking over to the others. "Hey, you guys are the hold up!" They all became startled as they seemingly came out of a trance. "Adam and his fleets should be ready to leave shortly. I will pull the shuttle out with me, Idle away from the planet and see if we can draw them out. Once my signal gets through-" Astral was cut off as Jaimie grabbed his cheeks.

"Yes I know all of this already. Just stay safe." Jaimie let go and smacked his ass to push him to the drop door as the Dogpound boarded the shuttle. Being welcomed by heroes by all manner of the civilian volunteer fighters that were going to man the ship.

Astral sealed the rest of the hangar off as it became zero gravity in there. Astral pulled the ship with his powers and flicked his wrist, launching it into space and away from the Red Merle's gravitational pull. Astral's original wings opened as he set flight.
