As Astral's wings spread out fully the crew watched him from the bridge. Jaimie stood there and looked at the beauty before her. His wings dawned the light of the far away stars as he took off in a blur of cyan light. The Everlast's holo table appeared and had his tracker on.
Astral knew where this planet was based on the special relationship he had, he wanted to track something that could have survived lifetimes and the death of the universe. Astral came into sight of the planet in seconds as there were a handful of Sacramentum ships in orbit. Astral put his wings away and hovered in space for a moment to take it all in.
That same murky atmosphere filled with nutrients. This was it as he looked at the ships. His cloaking unit worked well as he slowly pulled himself to the planet, the ships all but ignoring him as they couldn't see the threat.
Landing on the planet's surface he looked around, the only movement in the atmosphere was the ships coming from the Sacramentum cruisers in orbit. What happened to the other species?
Astral took the time to work on filling a mass amount of canisters of gas to take home and experiment healing properties with it. The heavy nutrient could lead to a great use for the army if they can replicate it. After filling up what he considered enough he heard a noise coming from below. Looking around there was no motion from the peons on the mountain.
Sliding down to the trench side of the mountain Astral saw a mound of the giant lizard creatures. "Oh no." Astral knew their vitality, he would pray that they aren't all dead. Astral hoisted up one of the creatures with one hand. A clutch of eggs were in the middle as the one he was standing on showed signs of pain.
Astral lifted off the ground with the paws holding him up. "They did this, you were live birth before, and now it's all ruined." Astral held his hands over the eggs as a flash of light absorbed them. The lizard then rested its head relieved of the pressure.
"No vitals. These guys took the ecosystem of the planet away. On purpose." Astral looked along the ground as a puddle of the bacteria was working on consuming the flesh he was above. Astral threw a blade into the ground as it siphoned some of the liquid into a flask. With another flash of light, the flask went missing to the Red Merle.
"Motion right." Alexa spoke as Astral turned, seeing a masked Tizzle as Astral quickly drew his magnum and shot the lizard through its helmet. The body rolls down the hill into the valley to be consumed as Astral slowly climbs up the mountain again and peers over the side to see the door he left so long ago.
Alexa hovered over his shoulder looking. "We should question that, right?"
"I made it so dense that it couldn't be moved by anything without magic before magic, so, if its still here, that means the planet kept reappearing and the vault helped them for much longer than one cycle." Astral speculated as he saw the Tizzle guards stand next to the vault as trails were lit up all across the valley's seemingly connecting the Peon villages.
Astral stood up and slowly maneuvered his way to a village to get more information. Why was the vault being so protected and not serving its original purpose of storing food. Astral made it to the village as a peon tugged on his arm.
"What are you doing here stranger?" It was full of wonder.
"To help you explore the stars." Seeing his reflection in the eyes of the peon as its wonder turned into excitement. It ran in circles ecstatic and full of hope as a handful of other peon's looked around and saw Astral.
"Are there any elders around?" He asked softly as the peons pointed to a cave with a stone door as it shifted slowly. Four Peon's that stood taller than Astral walked out. "Hello and sorry to intrude on your peace, however, I am looking for a particular thing. Where is the hub world?"
The four elders looked at each other and pointed to the vault. "All of the answers are in there. We were peaceful and wanted to go back to a simple life. How difficult is that?" Astral dropped his head. "Don't worry warrior, they knew you were coming. But from what they know. We will join you." Astral picked his head up and smiled.
"You can count on me." Astral tossed a small device to him. "Left button will duplicate it. Spread this around and the right one will relay any message to me that is needed." He gave them a thumbs up as his suit vanished. Turning to the vault door he smiled.
Walking up the two tizzle guards stood still. How was a human breathing the atmosphere? "Halt by the order of the priests!" Astral walked right by them and set his hand on the vault as both of the Tizzle guards slashed down at him.
Astral flipped his head back. Moving his gravity upwards evaded both of their attacks as he used his magnum. Splattering their skulls on the ground as he landed safely onto the ground again, opening the door with one hand he looked inside.
The room was massive as it expanded into the mountain itself. Astral took a handful of steps in as the vault slammed shut behind him. This was normal air as he let out a breath of relief. Tizzle's came from both sides of the room.
"Not so fast." Astral held Murasama and his scythe in his hands as they froze. Astral flew through them, slaughtering all of them in one smooth motion, slicing off the skulls of most of them. Landing at the end he opened the door and saw men dressed in robes like Prophet. This confused him for a second as he held up his scythe at them.
They all started to laugh. "You fell for our trap. Ah easy prey." Astral stood still as a thunderous wave circuited through him. All channeling into the amulet. They stood frozen in fear as their laughs stopped.
"I'll ask this once before I just kill you and do it myself, where is your hub world?" Astral waited for a response still ready as they stayed silent. They all were going to die as they extended their arms.
"May God have mercy on our souls." They all spoke in unison as Astral spun his scythe through all of their necks, the bodies collapsing on the floor as Astral sees a terminal that he taps into and starts digging through their files. 'Oh I see finally, it is mobile like the Red Merle, but way less durable and a hindrance on defense and offense.'
"Warrior the tizzle's are trying to go camp to camp and kill us all!" the peon elder spoke through the radio Astral gave him.
"If you are all coordinated, use your jumping abilities to get on top of the cliffs, destroy the terrain and let landslides consume the standard paths of travel." Astral had all of the data as Alexa transferred it to the Red Merle as fast as Astral could find it. "While doing that they will send in their fighters, signal the ones in the cruiser to go into the engine bay and self destruct them." Astral paused as the elder was shouting out orders as fast as Astral gave them.
"As for protecting any children, evacuate them to the vault. It is secure now." Astral fired a round from his magnum as it rang around the vault. Decapitating the Tizzle's still alive. "From there we will play the pocket game. I will take out any of the jets and we can win this due to numbers, I promise you will be free to do as you wish after this." Astral saw the notifications as Alexa displayed that Adam and Red Merle had started their engagement.
"It's here isn't it." Astral left the terminal and opened the vault door as they started to work on getting the kids inside. "You four, move the dead bodies out of there for the sake of the children." Astral looked up, there was their hub. Now fully in orbit.
