Amidst the pitch-black darkness of the night was an alleyway where a gang was about to break apart. But before they could confront one another with their blades, an unknown intruder interrupted them.
"Who are you?" Abraham questioned and backed away from his position. Boros also stepped back while his men surrounded him. They took out their weapons ranging from knives to blades as if preparing a battle against the random shadowy figure.
Abraham didn't mind the reaction of the others and continued gazing at the intruder. In his eyes, the intruder was wearing a fox mask along with a dark cloak to cover its body.
The outsider seemed to have no affiliation with any gangs, so Abraham was confused as to what he was doing here in a random alleyway. People who weren't related to gangs shouldn't intrude themselves into the gangs' business.
"Hey, hey, there's no need to be tense. Why are you already taking out your weapons?" The intruder raised its arms as a gesture of peace and continued. "I'm just a random passerby who saw the commotion."
"Though, it is quite a sight to see a gang breaking apart from the inside. But when considering you as a group of ragtag thugs. It shouldn't be surprising for someone to betray." The intruder remarked with a teasing tone.
The thugs on Boros's side felt humiliated by the words of the intruder and wanted to skin him alive. Abraham squinted his eyes with interest. He wondered where this intruder came from and how it was acting nonchalantly amidst an army of thugs.
'Does he have a secret weapon? A gun, perhaps?'
Abraham thought to himself before shaking his head. He already noticed the lack of weapons beneath the dark cloak of the intruder. It appears that the intruder really meant peace and wasn't planning to do something violent.
However, there was a part of Abraham that didn't buy it. There was no way for someone to enter danger without preparation. The only thing he needed to understand was what the intruder prepared for them.
"You're asking to die, aren't you? I don't know where you come from or what gang are you affiliated with. But you're expecting to die by offending me."
Boros took out a brass knuckle. Despite being an old man, he had some fighting capabilities. Although they weren't as good as Abraham's fighting ability. Boros mainly relies on his intelligence to destroy his enemies.
And that in itself was something fearsome.
"Hahaha..."
"Are you suggesting fighting?"
The intruder chuckled at first with a heartfelt laugh. However, the words afterward were as cold as tundra. There was a tinge of bloodlust that was undetectable for most. But Abraham who had a great fighting ability felt it deeply.
'What a thick bloodlust.' Abraham felt that he was standing in front of a serial killer who had done mass murder. And his instinctual feelings weren't far from the truth. The intruder was a mass murderer who had killed hundreds of criminals.
Abraham glances at his men and muttered under his breath.
"Back away..."
They were curious as to why, but they followed his orders. Even though their current situation was dire, they were still loyal to Abraham. They felt the importance of their brotherhood and considered themselves as family.
"I'm suggesting you to die."
Boros responded and gave a signal for his men to attack the intruder. Without any hesitation or delay, they charged towards the intruder while completely brandishing their weapons. The intruder, on the other hand, appeared to be calm.
"It looks like you all have chosen your fates." The intruder mumbled before disappearing under the darkness of the night. The charging thugs were confused at first until one of them felt a cold touch in his chest.
As he looked down, he saw the intruder's arms penetrating through his chest while clenching his heart. The intruder took out its arms from the thug's chest, taking a bleeding heart under its fingers.
*Thud!*
The thug fell forward as blood surged out from his chest. He died with a shocked expression on his face while his eyes were opened wide. It was an instant death, a mercy compared to the one shrouded in suffering.
Everyone was frozen after seeing the bloody scene. They couldn't believe what they had seen with their eyes. Someone just used their arms to penetrate through the chest and take out a bloody heart. How could something like this be possible?
"Impossible! What are you?!" Boros cried out in surprise as he backed away in fear. Everyone stepped back with fear in their eyes. Except for Abraham of course. He was fascinated by the fighting art that the intruder displayed.
It was ruthless and required a lot of endurance.
'Who is this intruder and what kind of fighting art is he using?' Abraham wondered with curiosity in his thoughts. It was a wonderful fighting art that was perfect for the underworld. The intruder must have a powerful affiliation.
"Kill him! We must kill him! Otherwise, we will be the ones that will die!" Boros screamed and ordered his men to attack the intruder. He felt that death was slowly creeping towards him. So he must kill the intruder if he didn't want to die.
His men looked at one another and nodded at the same time. They prepared themselves and held their weapons tightly. But before they could make a single move. The intruder swiftly sprinted towards them.
The thugs were surprised and before they could regain their composure. The intruder was already in front of them and without any hesitation. The intruder punctured a thug's neck and continued to do so with the others.
It was a massacre.
"KAHK!"
"NO- AHH!"
"AHK!"
"GRAAH!"
Abraham felt a chill in his spine while his men couldn't take the scene. They were their brothers for quite some time. It was horrifying to see their brothers being massacred by one intruder.
"You must not be hostile to the intruder, understand!?" Abraham expressed and his men swiftly nodded. They didn't want to be massacred like the ones before them. Why would they be hostile against such a monster?
Boros felt dread in his heart as he saw his men being punctured in the neck one by one. Their knives and blades were ineffective against the intruder. None of them were even able to connect an attack.
The intruder simply dance and wave through their blades like air.
'I need to run.' A cowardly thought emerged within Boros's mind. He stood no chance. They stood no chance. Even if he would lose everything. At the very least, he would be alive. So with this in mind, Boros glances at the back to see it devoid of anything.
Looking back at his men who were being massacred, Boros slowly but surely stepped back from the chaos. His men kept screaming and crying for help, while he slowly faded in the background.
A couple of minutes later, all of Boros's men were lying on the ground under puddles of blood. Most of them had frozen expressions of terror and despair. It was a stomach-curling scene. One that would traumatize a normal person.
The intruder stood at the very center of the mass corpses and glanced around. It noticed the skinny old man was nowhere to be seen. A teasing smile curled up under the demon fox mask and the intruder disappeared without wasting a second second.
Boros, on the other hand, was running through the sidewalk while screaming for help.
"HELP!"
"PLEASE HELP ME!"
"ANYONE! HELP ME!"
No matter how much he shouted for help. None answered. Only the silence of the calm night shrouded his surroundings. Boros felt despair as his heart kept loudly beating.
It was dark and the street lamps were barely lighting up the sidewalk. Boros continued running without looking back but before he could take more steps. He felt lightheaded. It was then that Boros saw his body falling forward.
Boros could react as his head rolled onto the sidewalk. The intruder stood right beside him with a bloodied jet-black glove. It gazes at Boros and mutters under its mask. "What a coward."
Leaving behind his subordinates as a way to buy time was cowardly. It wouldn't be bad to run when you're alone. But leaving the people who trusted you? Such was a cowardly crime.
The intruder took the head of Boros and dragged the body back to the dark alleyway.
Abraham and his men stood silently in the alleyway as they noticed a figure entering it. Abraham immediately noticed the head of Boros and his headless body getting dragged by the intruder. He felt horror though he contained it in his heart.
He maintained an aloof expression as the intruder dropped the body and head beside the massacred thugs of Boros. Afterward, the intruder glances at them and walks forward.
Each step the intruder took caused them to shudder but Abraham and his men stood their ground.
Seconds later, the intruder stood in front of Abraham with a bloodied hand. The demon fox mask was making Abraham breathless. His men, on the other hand, were a bit nervous about their boss's predicament.
The intruder was a merciless individual who didn't care about the values of life. Like a mass murderer who saw life as nothing more than a concept that could easily be taken away.
Abraham's men thought of the intruder as the reaper of death. Ruthless, cold, and swift.
Silence enveloped the alleyway as Abraham and his men stopped breathing. It was a tense and frozen atmosphere. But it was broken when the intruder patted Abraham's shoulder with the smell of blood emanating from its gloves.
"Now, let's talk."
