On an island in the middle of nowhere. It was midnight and silence enveloped the heavens and the earth. The quiet breeze of wind ruffled through the branches of trees bringing about peace. But out of nowhere, something extraordinary happened.
A dazzling light shone and expanded outward blinding everything in its vicinity whether it be animals, trees, or the skies. It was a beautiful sight but what followed it was a thunderous sound that shook the earth.
*BOOM!!!*
The shockwave caused some trees to bend as the dust was thrust back into the wilderness. The cries of animals sounded afterward and the herds of beasts plowed through the trees to run away.
A couple of seconds later, an alarm sound rang.
*Woop!* *Woop!* *Woop!* *Woop!*
Flashes of crimson light blinked every second and the roars of gunfire followed.
*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*
*BRRrrrtttt!* *BRRrrrtttt!*
A group of soldiers were firing in a peculiar direction covered in thick smoke. It was where the explosion came from and an unknown entity had penetrated through the prison. This was the first time such a thing happened and most were erratic of it.
The soldiers mostly didn't know what they were shooting at. They were simply ordered to shoot in the general direction to eradicate their enemies. Whether it be a group or an individual invading their facility was something they didn't know about.
"Don't hesitate, shoot them down!"
"Fire! Fire!"
*BRRrrrrtttt!!!*
Their rifles kept blazing until their officer signaled them to stop. The officer squinted his eyes at the smoke and saw nothing other than hundreds of bullet holes brought upon by their arsenal. There were no bodies of any intruders of some sort.
It made the officer wonder if it was nothing more but a false alarm. But sadly for him, it wasn't. Out of nowhere, two individuals emerged within the ranks of soldiers and knocked all of them out. It was mostly the short one easily smacking the soldiers.
"Kak!"
"Oh sh-"
"No-"
The soldiers fell in mere seconds as the officer glanced around in shock while holding his rifle tightly. He was nervous since his men had fallen to the ground, but he noticed there were no blood departing their body.
"What is going o-" Before he could continue his words, a dark figure appeared beside him and smacked his head causing him to fall onto the ground.
*Thud!*
The officer was knocked unconscious and the piecing silver moonlight of the pale moon shone over the entirety of the forest where the explosion resided. It came from none other than a warehouse where goods being delivered outside the island were kept.
One of the two intruders wore a demon fox mask while the other resembled a giant buff man wearing a mask of a hound. The intruders were currently infiltrating a maximum prison of the Federation.
The reason?
It was to get something or someone out that would be needed for the foundation of the Organization.
"It looks like the infiltration failed." The intruder with the demon fox mask expressed while the other shook his head and responded. "I already said this, Lord Solace. It's impossible to infiltrate a maximum prison of the Federation."
"*Sigh...* What can we do about it. You're the one that said we needed that guy. He's your father, right?" The intruder known as Lord Solace, or Solace, remarked.
"While he may be my father. He's a dangerous man. You can never turn him into a hound since he'll probably bite you like a serpent. And his venom is incredibly bad." The intruder with the hound mask was worried about the ongoing operation.
"A serpent can still become your pet if you can train it enough, Abraham. You need to learn that even crazy people can be controlled, but you'll have to find the means to do it. No matter how mad it appears to be." Solace explained since it was something she had heard from her master.
"Okay, if Lord Solace wants my Father, then so be it. But I'll kill him myself if he dares to betray you." The intruder named Abraham lowered his head in defeat. It was hard to stop their boss from doing something.
That was the lesson Abraham had learned during their travel together while heading toward the island. It was something to be expected from someone as powerful as their boss. But it was hard for Abraham to adapt to this kind of personality.
The two then continued and swiftly ran through the forest. Abraham was behind Solace as they navigated through the densely packed trees shrouded in darkness. While sprinting with his boss, Abraham noticed something important.
Lord Solace was lowering its own speed so that he could catch up. It made Abraham a bit ashamed since he disliked being thought of as weak. However, when compared to Lord Solace. He really was weak and that was the truth.
As they arrived before the seven main prison facilities within the island, they noticed a large group of soldiers maintaining a roadblock at the entrance of the facility. The situation was the same in other facilities. Roadblocks were being built.
The criminals on the island were dangerous ones and the military was the organization in charge of keeping them in check. The criminals were large figures in the international criminal underworld and they couldn't be killed through the death penalty.
Otherwise, a civil war would hit the Federation.
Instead of fighting the soldiers, Solace decided to enter alone while Abraham waited outside. It would be hard for Abraham to storm the facility so it was up to Solace to do it herself. The only thing she needed was the description of his father which was something she already knew.
A seemingly skinny old man with an eyepatch and jet-black hair. He may not looked like a dangerous man, but he was considered to be the best assassin of a particular foreign nation outside of the Federation.
Obviously, he defected to the Federation and went to marry Abraham's mother. But things didn't go as expected as the foreign nation decided to get their revenge through a diplomatic meeting in the city he was in.
During that meeting, the group of assassins deployed by the foreign nation invaded his home and killed his wife. His son was fortunately alive, but couldn't handle the death of his mother. That was Abraham, and it began the rift between the two.
The old man sought revenge and decided to massacre everyone in the diplomatic meeting, and that included the senators of the Federation. He was ruthless in his ways and his horrific crimes echoed throughout the media day and night.
It was quite a dramatic story, but it made Solace realize that Abraham rather had a complicated life.
Solace easily entered the facility without being detected by the security guards. They appeared to be entirely concentrated on building a defensive perimeter around the facility. The Maximum Prison must have thought of their intrusion as a siege.
As Solace navigated through a concrete hallway brimming with cells that could only be identified through the heavy metal doors they represented, Solace noticed the names of dangerous criminals. Some were drug lords, godfathers, and many more.
They seemed to be people with a lot of connections and authority in the criminal underworld. However, despite the interest, Solace decided to ignore them. It wasn't interested in involving themselves with the masters of the underworld.
In fact, Solace would rather destroy them.
But now wasn't the time.
A couple of seconds later, Solace noticed something at the end of the concrete hallway. It was a lone door with a familiar name plastered upon it. It was something that was told to Solace by Abraham.
And it was the name.
Thomas.
Solace finally found it after the whole ordeal of searching. Without any delay or hesitation, Solace clenched her fist and immediately punched the metallic door. It was hard as hell and she could feel her fist ringing, but it wasn't painful to someone like her.
*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*
She kept punching and punching until the hinges of the metal door weakened. At that moment, she swung a full power front kick that would cause anything that it hit to explode.
*Boom!*
The metallic door was thrown back as it fell down to the ground. The boots of Solace were completely destroyed, revealing a fair and pale foot. But Solace didn't pay it any heed and entered the cell.
There was an old man in the center of the cell doing a lotus-position meditation. He appeared to be unbothered by the intrusion of Solace and continued in his calm state. But he slowly opened his eye after feeling the tense atmosphere.
It was a bloodthirsty aura that would devour everything in its way.
"This is the first time I have ever felt so much bloodthirst. It is somewhat of a surprise how much you are containing it to an acceptable level. For someone as young as you, you must have killed hundreds of people."
Solace stepped forward without any fear and was nonchalant about the words of the old man. She glances at him with a cold expression and questions him about one simple thing.
"Do you promise to not reveal anything, old man?"
The old man turned his gaze at the demon fox mask and nodded. He closed his eyelid as a smile emerged on his face. "You have a peculiar taste. You must be someone intriguing."
"Well, that's to be expected." Solace took her mask off and gave her pale hand to the old man in front of her. With a smile on her face, she introduced herself to the old man.
"I'm Mercedes Reed. It's nice meeting you, old man."
