Police cars rushed to the scene. Detective Ramsey Parker was more than worried.
He had called a friend of his, Lisa, with the intention of apologizing for her being sacked from the police force. He tried calling again and again, but the phone wasn't picked up.
It was a first, and Parker went into panic mode, as he and three others sped to Lisa's place.
The door was closed, the lights were off.
The detectives whipped out their pistols and went inside. Almost as soon as they opened the door, they were assaulted by the smell of blood.
Parker used his phone's flashlight to find the switch, then flipped it on.
The lights went on, revealing a horrid sight.
There was blood sprayed all over the walls, but that wasn't what forced tears out of Ramsey's eyes.
In the centre of the room lay a body on the coffee table. Parker could only imagine what agony she had gone through.

Thirty three minutes before...
Darkness enveloped the room. Lisa immediately made a move for the door. She abruptly stopped when the door slammed shut. In the darkness, she could hear the key slowly turning, locking the door.
"Now, let's have some fun, just the two of us."
Sharp objects pierced into her abdomen, just below the rib cage.
"I never was good in Biology, but there was a topic I loved a lot. Dissection...."
The Alpha grabbed hold of her ribs and pulled, breaking off part of them from the rest. Lisa screamed in agony and flailed her hands, trying to hit whatever it was that was attacking her.
"That's not nice," the voice said. "Your hands seem to be a problem. Let's fix that."
Seconds later, blood spurted out from her arms as her hands were torn off.
Rib by rib, the Alpha tore off with cruelty. Lisa, amidst the pain, managed to ask, "Why?"
"Why? By labelling the Greystone child as a fugitive, you made him the talk of the town. Everyone would lay their eyes on him. His arrest would cause the Greystone Family to act, resulting in the revealing of secrets that the world should never know!"
The Alpha placed his claw on her collarbone. "If not for your Chief's timely intervention, it would have happened. All of you shall pay for what you did, and I will give you a spectacular and terrifying end."
His claw ran down her chest, rcutting through the bone with ease.
"Now for the final part," the Alpha said before pulling the sides apart.
Her innards spilled out, and now her lungs and heart hung from her open torso.
The Alpha's ears picked up the sound of a cellphone ringing. He decided to let it be.
He swung his claws at her neck, leaving four slashes.
Soon, only her corpse was in the room.

Ramsey sank to his knees. It was clear that he was affected greatly by the sight.
One of the detectives placed his Hans on Ramsey's shoulder.
The body was taken to the morgue. Parker sat in his car, the corpse still visualizing in his mind. He saw something odd and started the engine immediately.
Parker sped across town to the morgue.
"Detective Ramsey Parker, I want to see the corpse that's just been taken in," he said as he flashed his badge. Seeing the look of urgency on his face, they led him there immediately.
They brought out the body, and Parker took a look at a particular place.
Sure enough, there were four slashes on her neck. Parker's skin turned pale.
He walked back to his car and drove home.
"Pull over."
Parker was more than shocked. That voice came from behind him, in the very car he was driving!
"I said, pull over, Detective."
Darkness covered the car, and Parker couldn't see ahead anymore. He was forced to pull over.
A chill ran down Parker's spine as a similar scenario replayed in his head.
"Yes? I've pulled over."
The voice said," You've probably been wondering why I left you alive the first time we met. I need you for something."
"What is it you want me to do?" Ramsey asked, not daring to look behind him.
"To take care of a certain someone for me, one of the people who started this whole mess."
"Who?"
"Tony Hawk."

Maya was much more responsive the next day, as she was finally talking to Jayden again.
Elena and Sofia joined in on the conversation, and it became much livelier.
The bell rang. Maths lesson.
Sofia sighed, "Why does it have to be Math?" Elena said, "Why are you complaining? You've always been good in Math!"
Sofia replied, "I know, but you know, its Math! The most boring subject ever!"
The teacher, Mr Owen Carlson, asked, "Class, could you please hand over your assignments?"
Jayden started sweating. He hadn't written it, since he spent his night talking with Davina.
Aiden saw the look of despair on his face and smiled. He handed some papers to Jayden.
"Here you go," he said. Jayden copied down everything as fast as he could, writing correct answers only, of course.
By the time Mr Carlson got to them, he was done. They submitted their papers and the lesson began.
Jayden whispered to Aiden, "Thanks, man." Aiden nodded with a smile. "I noticed some of your answers were wrong, so I made some adjustments." Aiden said, "Now its my turn to thank you!"
Jayden looked away and turned to Austin, showing him a wicked grin. Austin was quick to catch onto it and almost burst out laughing.
Elena was watching them, her eyes mostly focused on Jayden. Then she felt a hot gaze landing on her. She looked around. Suddenly, it disappeared.
The lesson ended, and it was break time. Jayden and crew went to the cafeteria. As they walked down the hallway, Jayden felt a gaze locking on him. It wasn't friendly by any means.
He looked around, but saw nothing and nobody out of the ordinary.
Aiden asked, "Hey buddy, what's up?" Jayden went silent for a while before saying, "It's nothing. Let's go."
None of the trio believed him, but Sofia and Elena did. After all, they were clueless about the secret these four had.
