The attacker was a part of Sala's new group. They betrayed her once they learned the truth about her, what she was really like, and how she compared to other dragons when things were equal between her and them. They getting exactly what they were promised the chance to integrate into their scales the very things that Sala's family was constantly trying to keep under wrap
Rather than attempt to try to integrate them all into their scales they merely picked the ones that had the most defensive benefits to them and their scale over all the others that were presented. Defense first was the motto of the Dragons after all as they were tanks first and everything else second. Defending was their main method of offensive and defense where they would just outlast whoever they were fighting against. That or rush headlong into battle where they would use their defense to take the blows dealt to them and then wipe out everyone that stood in their way. The only ones that could stand their defense was another dragon of equal level when it came to defense or skill in attacking relentlessly until they won.
A dragon with scars was a wound on their pride as a Dragon. Since scars meant someone was able to harm you enough that it left a mark that you can not get rid of. Some saw scars as badges of honor but to a Dragon, they were marks of shame and disgrace. A body free of such a thing was what Dragons considered a badge of honor. They would go to great lengths to show off this to every one of their race.
Obtaining the material that would revolutionize their kind the attacker could see the reasoning behind only allowing Sala to have such things. In a level playing field, her inflated advantage would crumble to the ground leaving her at the mercy of any dragon that got their hands on it and used to boost their own strength.
The dragons then kept getting their ego inflated as they were allowed to increase their skills against the same creatures that the Rotune group fought against. The two of them are able to just win at their own leisure. The creatures might be vastly superior to those that roam their lands as even the strongest one ever recorded did not hold a candle to them. These creatures could not even harm them in fact each attack and blow only hurt the creature as the attacker and mage were starting to look bored of this.
Such tests were good and all but they were wondering what there to fear from the 5th supercontinent if these things could even lay a scare on them after.
Though the attacker did know one thing and that was not to piss off the Demon mage that was looking over them and providing them with what they needed to gain this power that was being kept from them and all Dragon kind because of one family wanting to have their daughter on top when really she should be at the lowest of the low.
"Seems things are wrapping up here as we need to just complete one more trail before it is all over," the Demon Mage said
'Just one more and then I am out of here and taking the rest of the stuff with me' the attacker thought
"So you are really going to let me take all that stuff used to boost me to my current level," they said
"The trail will be over after this and then we will leave here as planned. What you do afterwards would be beyond us" the Demon Mage said
"Okay let's get this over with already as..." the attacker started to say but then noticed that they were looking at their body fall to the ground while they themselves were upside down for a moment.
From what they could tell there was a hole in their chest that showed something had blown it out like it just was supposed to do that it was so smooth and clean.
"Where is my enemy," Sala said as she looked around before being directed to a bunch of enemies they struggled with even with what they thought was invincible armor. Sala was slaughtering them all with ease.
"Did you really think that you were invincible or something as such we gave the best of the best material to integrate into your armor. However, what you fought was the weakness being from the 5th supercontinent. The ones that were originally from here were left there where they became part of the ecosystem but only at the lowest of the lowest" the Demon tank said laughing at them.
"Once we are done with the clean up it would be time to move on as we were told," Arca said
"Back to master for our next orders" the Demon tank replied
"Will ask the master for my next enemy" Sala says having finished off all of them very quickly.
The three girls then walk passed the headless corpse of the attacker dragon that was once part of Sala's new group. The last thing they saw before dying was the Demon tank telling them another truth as they died shortly after that. After all, they were just a head that had been beheaded by Sala in an instant so fast that took more time to register what happened than then act itself.
