A month had passed since Sala and her group went into the cave in search of something rare that was said to be located within its depths. From there only Sala had come out of there alive much to the shock of all. They were all about to be written for dead. Given that they had been missing for so long with no contact and/or sign of them ever coming out again.
"So your group never found what was at the center of the cave then" the informant asked
"My group was wiped out as they never found what was considered rare in that cave. I made it out there though however, it took a month for me to get back" the dragon girl said.
"I can see why that would be the case as the cave entrance collapsed shortly after you all went in there. It's the reason why no one was able to go in after you all even after we realized that you were missing" the informant said
"There was another way out through it took a month of work for me to finally make it out there and report this to you," she told them.
"I see as though it is my fault partially for not double checking my own source. You all should have really at least scouted the area first yourself though. I was told about the job but nothing about the on site details though" the informant stated.
"That's fine as I will be going now as my party has been wiped so I am no longer staying here," the dragon girl told them
Leaving the informant behind wondering just how they messed up this badly and wondering if they could recover from having led to an almost complete party wipe.
The dragon girl then met up with Rotune.
"So did you finish reporting to the informant" they asked
"Yes master I have done as you commanded" she replied
The informant did not even see it coming as Sala took them out using a projectile that she had fired from her tail that left no trace of the informant behind once it made contact with the body of the informant
Rotune smiled as they knew she was a rare dragon after all as she was the only one that ended up becoming the Dragon Fighter they had wanted. The others could not handle the process and were now just the latest batch of rejects. Though where they were considered failures this dragon girl was a success.
The main problem with trying to make a dragon into a fighter was unlocking a side of them that the dragons had locked away a long time ago. Dragons used to be far more animalistic and savage in the past though to start on the road to what they are today. The dragons of back them seem to give up that side of themselves to advance further. It seems that those who did not go this route went backward as time progressed and became merely the dragonic like creature that exists today. Thus to create a dragon fighter unlocking this side of a dragon was necessary.
However, doing so ended up leaving the dragons in a worse state than when a beast or demon failed to become a mage or tank. A beast would explode at worst and a demon just dies from an attack they can not take. A dragon forced to become a fighter through having that hidden side of them unlocked. They just lose all sense of self and revert to becoming more like a creature than one of the four races. Their animalistic side takes over and acts only based on instinct alone.
This was true even of Sala whom he managed to make into a Dragon fighter as she seemed like herself at that moment because that was how she had been trained. She pretty much had an on/off switch now when it came to which state she was in. When prompted her switch could be flipped and she would enter into a rage attacking whatever she was directed to. In a sense, she had become a dragon version of an attack dog that the human commanded and controlled.
How did the Rotune know all this was not just them guessing from the cases they had seen through all their experiment with making a Dragon Fighter? That would be from what could be acquired from Sala after her attack mode was obtained successfully and fully.
