"I apologize again for my behavior, my Prince." As soon as we all stood in the space, the vampire bowed to Luc and I again, clearly wanting to make up for attacking us earlier. I wasn't exactly sure how the vampire hierarchy worked, but I knew that Dracula only accepted the title of Count. Calling Luc a prince seemed to put him at a higher rank than his grandfather, but it wasn't my place to correct them. Regardless, Luc was a prince, so who was I to tell them they were wrong?
"You can apologize by telling us what we need to know." Luc insisted, standing beside me as we stood in the room. It seemed to have been a gathering room before the church had been abandoned, tables and chairs all pushed to one side of the room, and I could see the remains of a small kitchen in the dull light that came in from the few windows along the left wall.
