Beatrice was having a meeting at One heart pharmaceutical, when her secretary sent her message asking her to go online.
When she went, she saw the lazy pauper trending online.
People were insulting him and cussing him for being a useless man that lived off a woman.
She saw people testifying on Luke's rude actions in his cafe.
She couldn't help but get angry, since she had married Luke, he had never asked her for money or anything on the contrary, she was the one living freely in his house.
All she did was buy a few groceries which weren't available at home.
So how dare people who knew nothing about their relationship slander him.
She was fuming, she paused the meeting and called Luke.
He answered it almost immediately.
"Are you okay?" She asked softly.
"Hmm?" Luke was confused, why wouldn't he be okay.
"Have you seen the trending topics online?" She asked carefully not to hurt his feelings.
"No! Why would I waste my precious time to go and look at what people are saying about me.
They are probably jealous of me because I have such a beautiful wife, the only place they can vent their frustration is online and I don't have their time" He answered nonchalantly.
What a joke, he was the Chairman of A Group and had a lot on his plate. He wasn't even done thinking about how to stop the outbreak of war, so why would he camp on social media full of mean people.
Beatrice felt assured after seeing his nonchalant attitude.
She had just realized now that, Luke was a very nonchalant person with a carefree attitude, and thinking about it, she's been able to influence it a bit, could it mean he was beginning to love her back.
Her heart pounded quickly at this thought, she calmed herself and entered the meeting with renewed vigor.
Luke did nothing but read novels online untill it was closing time.
John drove him home before leaving to go and do he's own things.
Luke entered the house to see Beatrice waiting for him with food prepared on the table, he sat down and began to gobble it down whiles they talked joyfully.
This pass few days, they've been bonding together well, and getting to know each other.
Luke no longer felt awkward around her, After dinner they took their baths separately before heading to bed together.
Luke had a lot of things to handle, but he decided to sleep together with her tonight.
They cuddled before Luke told her some jokes causing her to laugh, when Luke felt her even breath on his chest, he hugged her closer and muttered, "Tomorrow, you'll regain what you lost" He gave her kiss on her forehead before also going to sleep.
If Lucy was around, she would have considered this spending his time wisely.
The next morning, Beatrice secretary called her with an excited voice.
"A Group have just transferred 80 percent of Beauty Foundation shares to you.
You are now the chairwoman of Beauty Foundation"
Ellen said excitedly
The first question that came to Beatrice mind was, how? and why?
She had never met the chairman of A Group or any other related person to the company, so why?
Ellen could feel her confusion, and so she explained.
"A Group has always had their eyes on BF, but didn't make a move because you were unyielding.
When they saw you were ousted, they made their move and acquired the company, but they also know that, only you can bring them the profit they want.
So they've decided that as long as you agree to hand them sixty percent of our annual profit, they would give you eighty percent shares"
Upon hearing the condition, Beatrice became thrilled, she would have been suspicious of A Group if they had demanded nothing, but since they've stated their demands there was nothing to worry about.
"After all, there was no such thing as a free lunch in the world", Sixty percent of their annual profit was a lot, but it was better than nothing.
Ellen told her that, the deal would be finalized at BF HQ,
After she hanged up the call, she run and jumped on Luke who had just descended.
She hugged him excitedly and explained everything to Luke, asking for his opinion.
"Of course you should go, What are you waiting for?"
After breakfast, Beatrice left the house in a hurry.
Luke shook his head, since he had never seen her so hyped up. He didn't know why that company meant so much to her.
After he ate his break up, he freshened up and and wore a classy black suit along with his Rolex watch.
His aura completely changed after he finished dressing up, he run his hands through his head whiles he looked in the mirror.
"The clothes really did make the man"
He wore his sun glasses and stepped out of his house.
The sun was high up in the sky shinning on his skin hotly.
He raised his hands towards the sky and felt the warmth on his hands. it was warm and soothing.
His motorcade arrived in front of him, the seven cars looked grand, beautiful and we're completely in sync with each other, he entered his car without a minute to spare.
John sat at the front seat and couldn't help but comment, "You look gorgeous" Luke couldn't help but roll his eyes.
The motorcade took off heading to Crystal Palace.
In the lounge room at Crystal Palace, Shawn and Linda were professionally dressed.
They were feeling extremely nervous and couldn't relax, they were about to meet the chairman of A Group.
This was a privilege that only few could have, the rest could only dream of it.
Linda grabbed her husband collar and adjusted it.
"Don't worry and calm yourself down, you'll do just fine, I believe in you" Linda smiled.
Shawn had come out with a presentation which was going to blow the board's mind, and she was happy to be part of it.
"Dear can you get my medication for me, it's in the car at the parking lot outside" Shawn said.
Linda nodded, and went to get it.
When she got to the car, she saw the Chairman motorcade arrive at the main entrance.
A man in black suit got down from the car accompanied by many guards.
Luke back was the place facing Linda direction, but when Linda saw the Chairman back view, she froze.
But came back to her senses, laughing at her own audacious thoughts. The back side of the chairman looked a lot like Luke's back, but thankfully the Chairman here was taller than Luke.
Luke was just a kept man of Beatrice, how could he be the chairman. She had also pretended to date him for sometime but that guy was just a useless man who read novels all day.
He's mom was slightly rich but that was all.
Besides if he were the chairman, would he have allowed his wife to be bullied like that.
Unbeknownst to her was that, Luke had already handled the Beatrice saga, but it wasn't her fault she did not know since it was yet to be made official.
Luke entered the well lavished presidential elevator and took a seat on the couch.
As the elevator was rising, he saw Linda entering the building , since the building was made of glass.
He could see the outside of the elevator but those outside could not see him.
He sneered as he watched her enter.
