Her words left three dots flowing above Lord Uriel's head. Noticing that she was nervous about him being there caused his smile to broaden into a grin.
Raymond felt like he had cornered Madeline completely. Seeing her arrogant self looking helpless under her father's scrutinizing gaze made him feel accomplished.
But he didn't say anything to Lord Uriel ever since he arrived. He only requested to see her.
'This lowly bastard!' She gritted her teeth as her eyes remained on him. Seeing him grinning triumphantly did not help her matter. The anger she managed to bottle in was added to this current one, and her forest-green eyes were blazing like a dangerous flame about to consume a field.
