She was about to smile because she elicited such reaction from him. But the look in his eyes was enough to tell her she should stop messing around.
'Is he trying to be domineering??' she cocked her brow upward without fear.
One would not believe their eyes right now if they stepped into the hall. The air here seemed to be freezing because of the unyielding, titanic gaze the couple sent each other.
One had a nonchalant expression on the face, while the other's expression looked darker than the bottom of a herb kettle.
Antonia wasn't spared of the deafening silence dwelling with them currently. Her amber eyes were on her fellow servants.
They had panic-stricken look on their faces. Some even gathered nerves to leave soundlessly.
"Never you try..." His words came out in a rough growl that left her astonished.
This time, his eyes looked darker with an emotion she couldn't comprehend. She felt the threat coming from his words, and it made something within her tremble in adherence.
'There's no way I'll be feeling scared. Who on earth does he think he is to threaten me?' her internal monologue started.
"...mentioning her name before me. Ever." The strain at the end of his sentence was enough to convey a message to Olivia. But the Princess was totally blinded when it came to this.
"Are you feeling guilty?" She blinked, not bothering to beat around the bush.
"There is nothing to feel guilty about, Olivia!" The way her name rolled off his tongue made her jolt.
There was a strange sensation that pulsated through her soul when she heard her name from him. It was the very first time she was addressed in that way.
But his words pushed her out of the feeling. "No problem." She shrugged.
There was nothing to feel guilty about, this was probably his way of telling her he was not bothered about the actions he displayed.
Reginald didn't want to feel bothered about her reactions to his last words. She misinterpreted it again, obviously. But he was not in the mood to change the way her mind ran. She was the one who allowed such thoughts to build up.
Noticing that the environment here was probably tense, Antonia was about to leave the dining hall. She wasn't ready to watch the couples argue with each other.
But as she was about to move from her spot, the door opened revealing that same silver-haired man from the inn. She lifted her eyes from the floor and was left in astoundment because his beauty was one that rendered her frozen like a statue.
'What...?'
Meanwhile, Reginald and Olivia turned their gaze in the direction of the rude visitor.
"A great morning, Your –" He was interrupted by the sudden yelling of another man.
The redhead ran toward him and pounced on his back, rendering them to fall to the floor.
Antonia remained frozen because she never thought she would watch a scene like this. '
Are they about to fight? What should I do?' She questioned in her mind as she watched them, eyes still wide as saucers.
"You lazy metalhead!!!" Zain cried out as his right leg hooked the man's waist so tight.
His action left the silver-haired man immobile. From his build, one could tell he could beat the redhead for doing this. But from the look of things, he did not look like he was in the mood to banter.
"Yay..." The silver-haired man deadpanned in an unaffected voice. His expression was as plain as a paper as his silver-eyes met with Zain's green eyes.
Reginald could only sigh at his friend's brazenness. But he was relieved they came in time to get him out of this awkward situation with Olivia.
At the same time, he sent a glance of acknowledgment to Zain who came in like a rushing wind.
"Sylve... It's been a long time. Let's duel." Zain spat out all of a sudden as a smirk appeared on his face. He unhooked his leg from Sylvester's waist and helped the man up.
Sylvester snorted as he grabbed the hand offering to help him up. Zain was having a little difficulty in helping the tall, bulky man up and it made him smile. This was his way of telling the redhead that he was weak.
"That's a challenge I wouldn't like to accept, my friend. I'm scared you might lose some limbs at the process." He took his gaze the direction of Reginald and Olivia.
There was a questioning gaze filled with unspoken command and power that Reginald sent to him. It made his silver eyes flicker with understanding before he sent a respectful look to Olivia.
"Good morning, Your highness." He bowed his head, without a soft expression on his face.
Olivia arched a brow watching him. For some reasons, this man looked so familiar. She was wondering if she saw him somewhere.
'Not possible. I haven't left the Castle for once. Besides, I've never encountered him.'
"You're here early. I was just rounding up with breakfast." Reginald turned away from Olivia who wanted to snicker at his remarks.
But she didn't. She helped herself to some meal and she started digging in, not caring about Napoleon's cultures.
If a man was done eating, everyone would be. It wasn't her first time breaking the norms. She could get away with it because of the reputation she grew with. Well, that was a win for her as she got to eat when she liked.
Walking out of the head of Hayes's mansion during a meal wasn't only disrespectful. Her acts this time around was quite questioning.
Reginald didn't seem bothered with it. Well, who said he was a person that went according to the rules too?
"There's no need to do that... I mean... It's fine. I think we should speak more in your study."
"Eh...? Isn't it better if we talk more in the practice ground?? Remember, you owe me a duel!" Zain almost screamed at the top of his lungs.
Of course he was excited that Sylvester was here, but that only meant lesser attention toward him. And it began immediately after his arrival.
"This isn't the time to reason like kids. We have serious matters to attend to." Reginald directed at Zain, causing the redhead to pout his lips.
They weren't aware that there was extra guests in the room who listened well to what they were talking about.
Princess Olivia arched her brow in curiosity as she watched Reginald move away from the table.
'Serious matters?' What could it be?!?!
