Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Happiness of Breakfast

Suddenly, there was a car horn sound outside the door. Fang Tang knew that it was already 6:40. Time passes so fast, it's almost two hours since he woke up.

But this body changed. It really brings him some convenience. He doesn't need to look at his cellphone for any time because there is a clock in his head.

A loud voice was heard right after he opened the door: "Yo, anyone robbed your restaurant yesterday?"

This fat man named Liu Haoren, Fang Tang's childhood friend. His family runs a slaughterhouse, and he started butchering pigs and sheep since he was a boy. Through his hands, many animals were killed. He is absolutely not a kind-hearted person. Because Fang Tang's family run a restaurant, their families know each other through business.

Fang Tang was curious what the godhood will tell him about Liu Haoren, so he turned on the data perception function.

Name: Liu Haoren

Race: Mankind

Alignment: None

Gender: Male

Height:172cm

Weight: 80kg

This is different from his own data information list, there is no godhood, domain, attribute and skill. So, there are some differences between observing others and himself.

"But who the hell is so blind to rob your restaurant? Those robbers must be pissed off by your poor restaurant. No wonder they destroyed your tables and chairs to let out their anger." this fatso teased.

"Why are you staring at me?" asked the fatso with his hands crossing in front of his chest and stepping back "Virgin Fang, don't tell me that you are a guy and want to make a love confession to me! I'm straight!"

"Don't always put 'Virgin Fang' on your lips. Aren't you the same?" Fang Tang gave his fatso friend a soft punch after turning off the data perception.

"Nope, totally different. I have to keep pure for my lovely Ke'er. I heard that she had a serious quarrel with her bf, will they break up this time?" asked the fatso.

"How could I know? But you won't have the chance to chase her even if she breaks up.

I only know that you're the backup plan to her." Fang Tang teased back.

"What? Backup plan? You are trying to piss me off, right? Don't you know that if a man is always there for a girl, comforting her and doing things for her without regrets, she will finally be touched and accept him?" fatso analyzed.

"Fine…whatever." Fang Tang didn't want to continue this conversation with this fatso who was in his estrus but failed to get his girl, and asked: "Where is the meat?".

"In my car, go get it yourself. I played computer game all night, now I'm tired as hell. I need to take a nap in your restaurant." answered the fatso. He pulled a table and a chair that were still functional, sat on the chair, laid his head on the table then fell asleep.

Fang Tang shook his head and went out of the door to get the fresh meat materials himself from the car.

After moving all these into the kitchen, he picked up a piece of premium pork shoulder and washed it for later use.

Then he opened a bag of Snowflake flour, added a certain amount of water in, kneaded a dough and left it being covered with a wet cloth to make this dough finer. While waiting for the dough to be finer, he started chopping the pork into a meat paste, then added salt, cooking wine, a certain portion of onion and ginger sauce, some home-made spice and mixed them all together. After the meat stuffing was made, he took out the dough, rubbed it into a round and long strip, then cut it into many segments.

Each segment is about 9g, but whether each one can be so specific in weight, it depends on the chef's skill and experience. In the past, Fang Tang could only be sure that the weight difference of dough segments he cuts is within 0.5g. Because of the data perception he has, everything in him has changed a little. He realized that each segment he cut is 9g, exactly 9g, which surprised him.

When he was cutting pig skin, each piece he cut was a 1cm cube, no exceptions. Fang Tang's cutting skills were excellent before, but he still couldn't cut things as specific as this.

While processing these materials, he had a very clear intuition about what's the best place to cut.

And when he was adding source, he could also know how many grams he had put in with a mere glance.

Together with his previous cooking experience and this precise perception ability, Fang Tang clearly felt that his cooking has a qualitive leap.

Fang Tang took the traditional 'oil pressing' way to make steamed meat bun. That means he would use neither machine nor other tools to roll the dough segments. He dropped some oil on each dough segment and pressed it into a flat wrapper with his hands.

Therefore, the thickness of the wrappers is completely dominated by his hands.

If the wrapper is too thick, the taste will be affected. But if it's too thin, the stuffing might be squeezed out. The closing top of this steamed meat bun needs special caution. He has to very gently close it by turning it around.

There are usually 18 even folds on each one.

He started steaming them with each basket 8 buns. As to the dough segments that were left, he added some salt in and kneaded them together in order to make it chewier. He cut this dough into two parts, put flour on them, rolled them together with two rolling pins till they are half translucent, and cut them into many even squares wrappers. Then he made some wontons with the left pork stuffing.

"Wow, it smells so nice. What are you cooking? I'm starving…" fatso was woken up by the fragrance.

"Wonton!" fatso rushing into the kitchen when he saw what's in Fang Tang's hand. "Jesus, you also made some steamed meat buns. Fang Tang, what makes you want to cook meat buns for me? You're my buddy!"

"Wait a second!" Fang Tang put some cut egg slices, seaweed, and two drops of chili oil." Now, you can take this out of the kitchen. It's very hot, be careful." He took two baskets of meat buns for fatso. These freshly made buns are like crystal jades. They are all of the same size, and you can almost see the gravy inside the wrapper.

When he came back to the kitchen, the tabby cat had already took down a basket with its pawn, grabbed a bun and put it into its mouth. After one bite, it jumped painfully because the gravy inside is too hot.

"You can't eat buns like that. There is a method for eating meat buns. Look at me. Take the bun out gently, put it into your mouth slowly, take a small bite first, and drink the gravy next." Fang Tang never expected that he would teach a cat how to eat meat buns one day.

This time, Shariel tried to eat it the way Fang Tang just taught her. Although she can't hold chopsticks, her paws are really flexible. She lifted a bun gently and slowly took a small bite. With this small opening, a strong gravy fragrance came out, which she never smelt before. She swallowed mouth water first, then sucked the gravy. That fresh and delicate flavor went through her tongue all the way to her stomach. That's amazingly delicious!

When she finished this one, she grabbed another one immediately. This time she dipped the bun into the vinegar plate like what Fang Tang just did. The sour flavor vinegar has can neutral the greasy taste this bun may bring to you, so that your appetite can be stimulated, and you can eat more.

In the soft and chewy wrapper, there is delicious gravy and flavored meat. While you are chewing, this flavor occupies every corner of your mouth. As she was eating, Shariel didn't forget to sniff it. It gave her satisfaction when she finished one.

But she will grab another one in the next second.

"This is incredibly delicious, meow! It's ten times better than the instant noodles I ate last night, meow! No, it's 100 times better, meow!" Even when she was in god kingdom, she had never eaten anything like this. Shariel has lived thousands of years and this is her first time dropping tears because of food. Two drops of big tears fell on the kitchen counter and turned into two crystal stones.

"Fang Tang, your cooking skill have a big leap now. Look at the bun, the crystal wrapper and the delicate gravy. It was excellent. Is the gravy made out of chicken?" fatso rraninto the kitchen right after he finished his food. "

"Any wonton soup left? I want more." fatso asked with one hand holding the bowel.

"You're getting more and more professional at analyzing food ingredients. There were not many customers in the restaurant yesterday, so I spent a whole day on making this luxurious soup. This soup is made of a hen, a mother duck, some pig hoof meat, pig ribs, dried scallops and many other spices. I firstly processed these meats, then stewed them separately with cooking wine, onion segments, garlic and home-made spices for four hours. Then I put some soup into the chopped chicken breasts and stirred them together in a paste. After this, I put the paste into the soup pot to absorb the dregs it had, and the chicken soup turned as clear as water afterwards. That's why this soup is tasty but not greasy." Answered Fang Tang.

"What the fuck, that's a really luxurious soup! This is beyond ordinary wonton, it's indeed a splendid meal!" fatso licked his lips and said. "I need more!"
