The elder woman made a mental note to send Luther to the magistrate office so he would not bother investigating the matter.
She released Belle from the hug. "How are you feeling? Did something bad happen?" Her every words were filled with worry.
"I am fine now, Aunt Philippa." She offered the woman a small smile as a way to reassure her. "Mr. Reign was there to save me on time." Belle confessed.
"Mr. Reign? You mean Kione Reign?" She was surprised. He was known for creating chaos, and except it concerned the council matters, she was sure she had not heard of such information.
"Yes. He was--" Belle turned behind her, finding that the vampire who had brought her home and who was earlier standing by her side was nowhere to be seen.
A frown marred Philippa's face as she thought about the possibility that it was the Reign's doing after all. "Come tell me everything." She pulled Belle in. "I will make you tea."
