A sigh passed her lips before she shook her head as she pushed the thoughts aside.
Reaching the front doors of the mansion, the girl bowed and said, "Thank you, Mr. Reign. I will take my leave now." He hummed and watched her retreating back as she walked towards her carriage.
"How was the meeting, Ms. Annabelle?" Luther inquired as he opened the door of the carriage for the girl to step in.
"It was alright; thanks for asking." He could tell by her tone that something was bothering his mistress, but the man simply nodded.
Not long after, their carriage left the mansion grounds.
While Kione stood there watching the carriage leave, Merle came over to stand at his corner, two feet behind. Without looking at the butler, he asked, "What do you know about guardian angels?"
"The humans believe in it since the local priest once talked about every one of them having a guardian."
