The way she made it sound like Belle was only a tiny thing and was capable of theft. Despite the woman's harsh words, the girl held no grudge against her, and neither did she take her vulgar behavior to heart.
Meredith gave her seamstress a warning look, and Lucille smiled at her.
"Pardon my rude words, Ms. Thornhill," She began. "I am a well-respected tailor here in Winstol, and I would not like for the people to think otherwise when you are caught helping out." She snorted.
Belle offered a polite smile to the woman before saying, "I do not mean to cause you any damage, and I am only here because her lady asked that of me."
"Mrs. Lucille, I expected more discipline from you." The lady said with a disappointed tone. "And who said anything about Ms. Thornhill being seen around you?"
The seamstress was confused. "Do you mean she won't be coming over to the shop?"
