Belle awoke to the sound of noises outside their house. She rubbed her hands groggily on her eyes to wash off the remainder of sleep that still lingered in them.
Going to her window, Belle looked through them, and she watched the town folk. It was another busy day, and it was the first day of the hallowed celebrations.
When she arrived downstairs, Philippa was hurrying out of the house. "It is the first day of the hallowed nights; Luther will take you out if you wish." She said to Belle as she headed towards the door.
"Are you heading out for the council, so early?" She added the last part when she checked her pocket watch.
"Not really, dear. I want to get something really quick." Belle pursed her lips together as she nodded.
Seeing her aunt leave, Belle returned to her room to get ready for the day. A smile was glued to her face the whole time.
