"Milady," Merle bowed in front of Mrs. Reign, who sat and was conversing with another lady. He held a letter in his gloved hand. Stretching it out, he informed, "It arrived just now. It is from the mansion in the south."
Lady Meredith took the letter from him but did not open it immediately, and she waved him off.
When the lady's visit had come to an end, Meredith saw her off to her carriage and returned back to see the content of the letter.
She read through each line of words with a smile perched on her fine, thin lips.
"Merle." Not too long after the call, the butler appeared in front of the lady and heard her order, "Make preparations for a welcome party." His brows were raised in curiosity and surprise.
"A party, Milady? May I ask what the theme is?" He glanced cautiously at the letter that now sat exposed on the table without its covering.
