Chereads / Living Doll of MHA / Chapter 3 - Orphanage

Chapter 3 - Orphanage

Tiffany was three years old and had remained within the orphanage for two thirds of her life that she had lived so far.

There were children her own age or older that had manifested a Quirk of their own and were quickly brought into a family or were put under some kind of sponsorship program.

Due to Quirks being so important in the current age, if a child manifested a better Quirk, they would be the ones to have a better chance at being given a better life than the others.

Tiffany was a child that did not show any additional signs of having other features related to her Quirk so it was quickly becoming more determined that her abilities had already fully manifested during her birth.

It meant that her value was graded much lower and her inhuman appearance would gain her less favour from those that visited.

It did not help that she had become slightly worn down from the rough playing so she was not able to present herself in the best way to those that visited her.

She was seated on the ground in a room full of different worn down toys but her appearance was very strange.

There were markings on her body which were from the scribblings of children using pens, crayons and pencils while her hair had been tied up randomly so that it looks silly.

If that was the only thing out of place about her then it would not be considered as that strange, the main things that stood out was the state of her body.

Her head which was facing the wrong direction that was not facing the same way that her body was had slowly rotated.

It was a frightening scene to see for any ordinary person who would witness it and the head had rotated all the way around until it was facing forward. "Hah.."

It seemed to be something that Tiffany was familiar with doing so after her head was in place, she crawled using her small body to reach out for something further away from her inside the room.

What was pulled back by her hand was what looked like a leg which had been brought closer to her body.

The leg was pulled up into her skirt after she had laid down to set it in the right position but the leg had shown a little movement as the foot showed some slight movements.

A little force applied on the leg and the hip area had caused the leg to slot into place then it stretched out before bending a little again.

Just like any other doll, Tiffany had a body type that could remove her own segmented doll limbs without suffering any kind of harm and she could even live without them if she had to.

There had been times when her head, arms and legs had been pulled from her main torso but were still able to function on their own without the main body.

The limbs were capable of rotating around fully without it hurting Tiffany and each of those features of her Quirk had been found out early during an accident that happened with the other children playing with her and pulling at her limbs from opposite sides.

It was later discovered that it was due to her unique physiology that had yet to be fully tested that she was fine even when her limbs were removed and once the people had gotten over the initial shock of what happened, they stopped worrying about such accidents happening to Tiffany.

A door opened and someone poked their head inside the room. "There you are! Come quickly and get cleaned up. Come, come."

The small three year old looked confused for a moment then got up onto her feet, her small steps chased behind that person before she had to get tidied up.

Her hair, clothes and everything else was cleaned up then she was brought to the room of the director.

The director had turned around towards Tiffany and waved to her. "This is the one that I was talking about. What do you think?"

The man and woman opposite the director of the orphanage were dressed in showy suits which could not be found by ordinary people within the average business professions.

The colours of their clothing were slightly brighter while the man had a big curled moustache and the woman had long curled hair, they both wore a blazer or corset underneath their coat or suit jacket.

The man looked towards Tiffany and examined her for a moment then a calculating look appeared in his eyes for a moment. "Good, I will take her in. She will fit in with my other children."

The woman at the side had shown a smile in response to what he said. "Indeed. All of our children are very unique and special."

The director nodded. "Okay, then we should move onto the other business."

The man had shown a look of understanding then reached inside of his jacket to pull out an envelope. "Of course."

He slid it across the table then the director checked the inside of it before sealing it up.

The director took out some documents and then showed a natural business smile. "Please sign here and here mother and father of Tiffany. I hope that you three are a perfect fit together."

The confused Tiffany had looked from side to side to see what they were discussing but a three year old did not understand the world of adults.

She did not know what her fate or future would be like but if a law abiding adult was there to see the same scene, they would come to the conclusion that what had just been done was some kind of shady deal.

A lot of the important procedures for adoption were skipped and Tiffany was led out of the orphanage by the hand of the woman while the man had said his farewells to the director.

The new mother of Tiffany had knelt down and patted the head of the her before saying. "Good girl. You are so obedient. From now on you are part of a big family and not any family. You will be part of a carnival family."

Tiffany looked a little shy as she listened and she did not understand what a carnival was so she just nodded quietly. ".."
