The large shadow arose from the ground next to ozpin and his liege.
"a different world you say? An interesting concept. But, let us go to my office, where I can explain further with discretion."
Hans simply nodded.

In the dorm room of team RWBY stood ren and the four girls.
"now, you're likely wondering why I wished to speak with you today." The team nodded in agreement.
"Well... I believe something is wrong with Mr günsche. But, I wanted to confirm with the rest of you." Weiss and Ruby were well aware of his... irregularities. But, blake and yang, were not.
"Me and Ruby... we were buying hans a scroll, but when we came back... he was staring straight ahead with panicked eyes." Yang was quite suprised.
"wait, so Mr günsche, the calm, cool and collected security guard was panicked?" The blonde was reasonably disbelieving of the statement that the heiress spouted.
"yeah... he was. He tried to say that he was all right but we didn't believe him. Then last night... he went up onto the roof and said you are a soldier, you are strong, like he was trying to calm himself." Ren started to piece it all together.
"his knight, that humanoid grimm he defeated... he came up to me in the library a few days ago. Wrote about what was happening to Mr günsche leading me to believe he has a mental health problem. However, it seems to be more severe than that... I believe, that Mr günsche suffers from severe hallucinations. Maybe due to a traumatic past from what you've seen." The 4 woman team seemed to agree with that statement.
"what do you suggest we do then?" He thought for a moment.
"all I can suggest is to try and help him over the trauma. But the issue is, we don't know the source of the trauma. And Mr günsche seems rather secretive so finding out the source of this issue will be almost impossible." The team were completely downcast about this.
"all we can do is try our best!" Only weiss seemed upbeat about this.
"I suppose that is true."

Inside of ozpins clock tower like office, stood a security guard and a headmaster. Or, a werewolf and a human.
"Well.... after what you've told me, and what I've observed, I've come to a conclusion. I believe I must trust you with this information." Hans looked down at the man, clueless to what he was talking about.
"you likely won't believe me, but, magic exists." The room fell into a dead silence, neither of the two men spoke, both had thoughts running wild.
'He didn't react? Could he have already known?!' Hans was suprisingly calm, because... it all made sense now.
'then... is that what besitz is? That would mean my weapons now are... magically enchanted? Would that be the right word? Does that mean my shadow soldiers are magic? Could it be caused because this second heart of mine has magical properties? A few answers cause many more questions.' The two stared at each other.
"it adds up. It helps to explain my shadow abilities, my hands strengthening and granting properties onto my pistols." The old wizard raised an eyebrow at this.
"granting properties? Please explain further."
"my right pistol pierces, the left shatters. I noticed immediately that something was wrong with them, as in the last 100 years I've had them, they've felt the same. But suddenly, they felt different."
"interesting. Anyways, I believe I should explain. Firstly, back when magic existed, so did two gods. There was the god of darkness and the god of light. The god of light created humans and nature, the god of darkness was disgusted by this and created grimm to curb his brothers creations. But eventually, the two grew tired of the conflict." Hans looked at the completely serious ozpin.
He never believed God's existed but with all this new information, it wasn't far fetched. But he hoped he would never meet them, they would smite him where he stood...
"the two set up shrines and were worshipped by humans. But a... power hungry woman, rallied humanity against the gods. They retaliated... humanity was wiped out, magic had been lost. But somehow, it continued. Humanity started once again. Relics had been found that were speculated to have been left by the two. And the power hungry woman somehow became a half grimm. Her name... is Salem." Hans wasn't completely convinced about the story.
Mainly because it felt like things were being left out. When it comes to sensing manipulation, lies or half truths, hans was the best. Living with the major for so long... he grew used to it.
"She gained the ability to create grimm and it seems she now is creating powerful humanoid grimm. Her goal is to obtain the relics which my ancestors sealed away. One is here in Vale, one in atlas, one in mistral and one in vacuo. But, my ancestors remained able to use magic, and one of my ancestors gave the power to four girls. Fall, spring, winter and summer. Their power is passed down by the last person they thought of but it will only pass onto a woman." Hans looked to him, confusion visible in his eyes.
"that sounds like a pointless rule." Ozpin nodded his head.
"one of my allies by the name of qrow said a similar thing."
"crow? As in the bird?" Ozpin sipped on his coffee as if reminiscent of older times.
"its spelt with a Q but yes. His full name is qrow branwen, he's from a family of bandits known as the branwen tribe. He has a sister called raven... who is yangs mother." The table broke due to his sudden grip on the front of ozpins desk.
'calm down. Don't get so angry. I might be wrong. Raven might not have abandoned her daughter for a tribe of bandits.' As if sensing my thoughts, ozpin replied.
"I'm afraid it's exactly what you are thinking, Mr günsche. Raven abandoned her daughter and husband to stay with her tribe." His grip grew stronger and the desk crunched again under his grip but his face remained stoic yet had a murderous glint in his eyes.
"awww, you treasure familial bonds because you had no friends. Its so cute I could almost laugh. All you cared about was us. Now that we're dead... you have no one. Now, you're so cold. So cold that I might just freeze if I touch you." He glared at the imitation of lina.
'I may have been cold back in my world, but I don't think I've been cold in this one... have I? Saying I didn't want a relationship is normal... but lying right to weiss and Ruby's faces definitely is cold. Especially about being ok... I... can't remember the last time I was okay.'
"I'd appreciate if you could first, stop ignoring me and second... please stop freezing my desk." The captain looked down to the table and saw that it was frozen.
He pulled his hand away but the ice didn't dissipate.
"what an unfortunate time to unlock your semblance."

"Well.... I believe this only further emphasises the need to avoid combat with him at any cost. He defeated the former specialist monsoon, and any deaths can add to his strength. I believe I don't need to mention why it's a bad idea to try and spy on him. However, Watts, I want you to try and discover any possible weaknesses." The scientist perked up, obviously intrigued by the duty given to him by his queen.
Cinder raised a hand.
"you may speak cinder."
"will there need to be any changes to my plan for beacons fall."
"that is unessecary. Despite how problematic he is, there are ways to keep him occupied. For example, say if a certain old wizard was to learn about a particularly powerful humanoid grimm in the forests of mistral, what do you think he would do?" Hazel raised his hand a received a nod from the Queen.
"he would obviously send the most qualified huntsmen, but would also be careful to send as few as possible."
"ah! Our goddess is always thinking so far ahead!" The madman finally yelled aloud, unable to contain his joy any longer.

In the forests of mistral resided a powerful humanoid grimm.
One unlike any other, because... it could use magic!
Even Salem was unaware of how this happened.
But there it sat, within a cave sat next to a wyvern grimm. A black fluid leaked from its skin and from the liquid rose more grimm.
In a large chair, sat a grimm with features reminiscent of an ogre, a mace propped up against the side of the chair.
"to think Salem still believes me to be one of her pawns... pathetic witch. Isn't that right, my little wyvern." He started to pet the grimm and it nuzzled into his hand.
A large group of lesser grimm walked into his cave, a particularly large ursa major was their leader. The master of the wyvern grimm looked upon his lesser's with dismissal.
"hymn of the blazing fire." A magic circle appeared in front of the massive ogre grimm. A barrage of fireballs flew towards the pack of grimm, each one whistled through the air.
A crater was made from each fireball, the bombardment left nothing behind, not a single speck of the grimm pack were left.
"worthless underlings."

After the incident where I froze ozpins desk, I went into the forest to test my... semblance.
I reached out and gripped a tree, I focused on what I felt when I froze ozpins desk, and the tree was quickly covered in a light coat of ice.
I let go and looked up at the tree.
'it's only surface level. I wonder...' I tried to make a solid object in my hands...
But it's far harder than it seems.
I instead turned to a different tree and tried to use my semblance again. The floor seemed to make a frozen path towards the tree before similarly coating the tree in ice.
I took my gloves off and touched the frozen tree next to me.
I felt no cold.
I actually chuckled a bit at the irony.
'I was so cold, even before lina died. Now... I can't even feel the cold.' I stared at my shadow.
It extended and out rose the humanoid grimm team RWBY beat.
'I have yet to name him... dauerhaft. Considering the shield and armor, that sounds like a good name.' Monsoon and kommandant arose from my shadow as well and I could already see my skin paling.
'it seems it takes mana just to maintain them.' My veins were bulging and I covered my mouth before starting to cough. It was a violent cough and I could feel liquid on my hand.
I looked to my hand and saw blood.
"kommandant... dauerhaft... monsoon... return..." As they returned, I could see my skin returning to its normal colour.
'for my own safety, it's best to keep one shadow soldier out at a time.' I looked to a tree that was 20ft away. 'Let's test the range.' The ice made a clear path and speedily made its way to the tree with no difficulty.
I aimed for another tree that was around thirty feet away.
The ice rushed towards it but stopped about 5ft away.
'so that's the limit. 25ft. I can't create weapons out of ice yet... this will be a long training session.'
