Chereads / Crushing On Ms CEO / Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

- Elsie's POV

As I stepped off the luxury yacht and back onto the solid ground of the marina, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. Don't get me wrong, the vacation had been amazing - sun, sea, and sand are always a winning combination - but there was something about being back on land that made me feel more grounded, more like myself.

As I made my way back to the office, I couldn't help but think about the team I had left behind. They were a dedicated group of individuals, all of them talented and hardworking in their own right. But there was one person who stood out in my mind - Jayden Reynolds.

Jayden was one of the architects on my team, and from the moment I had hired him, I could tell he was different. He had a certain spark, a fire in his eyes that showed he was passionate about what he did. And even though he was relatively new to the company, he had already made a name for himself as one of the best architects we had.

But it wasn't just his talent that caught my attention. There was something about Jayden that drew me in, like a magnet. Maybe it was the way he was always so focused, so determined to do his best. Or maybe it was the way he carried himself, with a quiet confidence that made him stand out from the rest of the team.

Whatever it was, I found myself drawn to him, and that scared me. I had always prided myself on being independent, on not needing a man to make me happy. But there was something about Jayden that made me feel things I hadn't felt in a long time - a fluttering in my stomach, a quickening of my pulse.

And so, as I made my way back to the office, I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be with him, to feel his arms around me, to kiss him with all the passion I had been keeping locked inside. But I knew that was just a fantasy, a pipe dream. Jayden was an employee, and I was his boss. We couldn't possibly have a relationship without it being a conflict of interest.

But still, I couldn't help but think about him, even as I walked into the office and was greeted by the rest of the team. They all looked happy to see me, and I was glad to be back. But in the back of my mind, I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to have Jayden by my side, to see the world through his eyes, to be loved by him.

As I settled back into work, I found myself paying more attention to Jayden, watching him as he worked on his latest project. There was something about the way he concentrated, the way he was so meticulous with every detail, that made me admire him even more. And as the days went by, I found myself drawn to him even more, like a moth to a flame.

But I knew that I had to keep my distance, that I couldn't let my feelings for him cloud my judgement. I was a powerful and successful CEO, and I couldn't afford to be distracted by something as trivial as a crush. And so, I pushed my feelings aside, determined to focus on my work and nothing else.

But as I watched Jayden work, I couldn't help but wonder - what would it be like to let myself fall for him, to be with him, even if it was just for a little while?

Gosh!

Jayden Reynolds was a talented architect, and he had been working at Beckman Design and Build for over a year now. From the moment I met him, I could tell he was different from the others. He was ambitious, hardworking, and had a quiet confidence that I admired.

But even though he was a valuable member of the team, I couldn't help but notice that he seemed to be watching me from afar. Whenever I looked up, I would catch him stealing glances in my direction, and there was something in the way he looked at me that made my heart skip a beat.

At first, I brushed it off as nothing more than a harmless crush. But as time went on, I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it than that. Jayden was a good-looking guy, with his chiseled jawline and bright green eyes. And he was always so respectful and polite around me, never overstepping any boundaries or making any unwanted advances.

I couldn't deny that I found him attractive, but I was also wary. I had worked hard to build my career and my reputation, and I wasn't about to let a relationship get in the way of that. Besides, I wasn't the type of person to fall in love easily - I had been burned before, and I wasn't about to make that mistake again.

And yet, there was something about Jayden that intrigued me. Maybe it was the way he always seemed to know exactly what I needed, even before I asked for it. Or maybe it was the way he never backed down from a challenge, always pushing himself to be better.

Whatever it was, I found myself thinking about him more and more as time went on. I couldn't deny that there was a spark between us, something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. But I was determined to keep things strictly professional between us, no matter how much my heart might protest.

It wasn't until I returned from my vacation on the luxury yacht that I realized just how much Jayden had been on my mind. Even as I lounged on the deck, sipping cocktails and soaking up the sun, I found myself thinking about him. Wondering what he was doing, what he was working on, and how he was doing.

And when I returned to the office, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief when I saw him again. It was as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and I was glad to be back in familiar territory.

But as the days went on, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was different. There was a tension between us, a spark that hadn't been there before. And even though we tried to keep things professional, I couldn't help but notice the way Jayden looked at me, like he was seeing me for the first time.

It was a dangerous game we were playing, and I knew that if we weren't careful, things could spiral out of control. But even as I tried to maintain my distance, I found myself drawn to him, unable to resist the pull of his magnetic personality.

I didn't know where this was headed, or even if it was headed anywhere at all. But one thing was for sure - Jayden Reynolds had somehow managed to penetrate the walls around my heart, and I wasn't sure how much longer I could resist his charm.

Show me some love dear readers.
