Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Hard Work pt 2

Year 1351 of the Light Era

Time passed quickly; a year had passed since Arthur created his first Avatar, Sebas. Since then, he had already created a total of 10 Avatars, including Sebas.

The second Avatar that Arthur created was a man with a muscular build. If Arthur stood before him, no one would even see his shadow. Arthur gave the man the name Summer.

Yes, it wasn't even close to matching the physics that the man had. But Arthur had already planned this name before he created the Avatar.

Arthur planned for Summer to be an Adventurer and make a name while also becoming the pillar of the future Avatars he would create.

After Arthur created his second Avatar, he noticed that he barely got all his stats back. If he wanted to follow his previous plan, which was to create an Avatar every time the talent finished the cooldown, then it wouldn't be enough.

So, Arthur could only bite the bullet and start to raise the tempo of his training.

Arthur started to multitask. He began reading a book while lifting weights or doing some physical training. Arthur even went beyond that and started to read a book while eating and when he was in the bathroom.

Arthur sacrificed everything he had for the sake of raising his stats, and it did work out pretty well. But, in exchange, he only had so little time to rest. However, Arthur didn't mind that, as he had already committed to this plan. When he saw Sebas barely resting every day, he couldn't complain about this.

Arthur had talked to Sebas one time about whether this was even needed, or if the training and all the things that Sebas did all this time would be worth the sacrifice and the time they put into this.

Sebas said that everything had a price and that hard work never betrayed you. Yes, both of them worked so hard for this, and the plan might not even work. But, even then, they needed to do this. Because if not, they would take even longer again, and Arthur's dream wouldn't ever be realized.

Arthur then started to focus again after he talked to Sebas that day.

Arthur knew he created Sebas based on himself. His personality, the way he thought, the way he did things, and the feelings that Sebas had were based on Arthur himself. The only different thing was that Sebas would always focus on making his dreams come true, and he would never do things that would have bad consequences for him.

Anyone could betray Arthur, but not Sebas. That's what Arthur knew, and that's why he created Sebas in the first place.

After Arthur raised the tempo of his training, he started to see the difference when he was about to create his third Avatar.

His stats were a little higher than the first time he created his first Avatar, albeit only a little bit. But it was higher nonetheless.

The third Avatar that Arthur created was called Winter. Winter was a man with hair as white as snow and pale skin. He had a cold personality and a love for research and reading books, that's the plans. This Avatar would mainly become a mage because there was an organization called The Magic Tower. This organization was famous for its motto, 'Anyone can become a sage.'

A Sage was a person who achieved the top or the peak of magic. It was said that they had achieved or seen the 'truth' about magic. The Tower would take anyone as long as they could pass the exam or the test given by the Tower.

So, Arthur planned for Winter to enter this Magic Tower and hopefully become one of the Tower Masters. Once you became a Tower Master, you could enter the library or the archive that held all the books and the research of the members of the Magic Tower, which in return would make Winter become one of the best informants for Arthur in the magic side.

Of course, Winter couldn't go to the Tower directly, as he barely knew anything about magic.

So, he needed to join Summer and enter his party to train first and also make some money along the way to help Sebas with the money problem.

After all, the magic books, equipment, and foodstuff needed money. So, all the Avatars that Arthur created needed to help Sebas first before they could go do their objective.

The fourth Avatar that Arthur created was called Autumn. For this Avatar, Autumn's job was to be an informant or become an assassin. Autumn had black hair and the same color of eyes. He had a sickly face with a lean build and unkempt curly hair. You might think that he might die in a few days if you saw him walking around the street. Arthur created Autumn with a really weak presence. After all, Autumn would be an assassin, and a weak presence was a plus for this kind of job.

Arthur planned to create an assassin guild or an informant guild that could rival even the Adventure Guild and the Merchant Guild. But that would need a lot of time to achieve.

The fifth one was Spring. Arthur created this Avatar with a lot of care. After all, this Avatar would be the backbone of their group. Spring would be the man who made money. His job was to be a merchant that Arthur hoped would be the one to create a foundation for their plans.

Arthur created this Avatar to be handsome and friendly, liking to smile and be calm. But Arthur also wanted this Avatar to be cunning, careful, and smart

To be a merchant, one needed to be not only friendly with the customer but also smart and not fall for the deception and lies of other merchants and customers.

That's why Arthur read a lot of books about item prices, about how to be a good merchant, and all those kinds of stuff.

After the four main or the backbone of his Avatar finally finished, all that was left was only creating the members or the subordinates of the four main members.

Their job would be to help the four main members gain a reputation, of course, except Autumn as he still needed to lay low and gain strength first before he gained a reputation.

Arthur rarely got out of his house to play or even socialize. He kept training every day without pause; the only people who communicated with him were his own Avatars.

It was sad, considering that Arthur was still only 11 years old. While other kids were out there playing with their friends, here Arthur was training as if his life depended on it. Sebas help organized what he needed, like foods that were filled with nutrients that were good for growth or a sleep schedule where Arthur needed at least 8 hours of sleep.

You could say that Sebas was acting as Arthur's parents. Although he could never become one, Sebas always tried his best to be as close as possible to a father figure.

Although Arthur himself doesn't complain or say anything about being lonely, Sebas tries his best to be with Arthur whether it is by following Arthur with his training or just simply talking when they are eating.

Sebas remembered that Arthur himself said that he never felt lonely or needed friends at the same age as him, but Sebas couldn't help but feel worried about it.

After one year, the Avatars that Arthur created had already started to take shape. They started by doing odd jobs like delivering letters or finding lost things to now starting to find herbs in the forest or killing some low-level monsters.

The problem with money also started getting better, albeit slowly, as the money from finishing those low-level requests wasn't much. The Avatars also needed to eat and sleep, which is why Spring's job was really crucial for the long run of the group.

This was only the beginning of Arthur's plan, after all, and the Avatars that Arthur created were still small in number, so it was still within the capability of the money that Arthur had. When the group started to get bigger, then the problem would start to become noticeable.

If Arthur wanted the Avatars to become stronger, then he needed a lot of money. Like a huge amount of money, to the point where he could rival the money of the noble or even the royal family.

From housing for his Avatars to the daily necessities, that alone took quite a bit of money. That didn't include the equipment, skill books, magic books, and all the other stuff, which would take a lot of money as they weren't cheap.

That's why this talent was called the useless gold digger. Because people would rather recruit real people with good talent rather than raise people with Avatar talent only to suck all the money away.

Still, other than the first five Avatars that Arthur created, they all created a new party or group in the Adventure Guild. The plan was to build a clan that would only be filled with his Avatars so that it would be easier to manage later on.

While his Avatars worked to find money and build a reputation, Arthur's job was simple and boring; that was to train and train enough until his Avatars were ready for Arthur to not create more Avatars. When that happened, that was when Arthur would be ready for his dream.
