Year 1352 of the Light Era
Another year had passed, marking the second year since Arthur created Sebas. Arthur's talent had reached level 2 a few months ago, and the cooldown of his talent was now 15 days. So, Arthur needed to create an Avatar every 15 days, which made him even more desperate in training.
Fifteen days wasn't that long a time, and the problem of getting his stats cut in half felt rather unpleasant, as did acquiring a skill usable by his Avatars.
Luckily for Arthur, the Avatars he needed to create didn't require specific skills to assist him, unlike the first five Avatars. All they needed were some skills good for fighting and survival, like sword mastery or other weapons, which made it easier for Arthur to train.
Arthur had already created more than 30 Avatars, and besides the first five, most of them had joined the Adventure Guild, while some were assisting Spring with his merchant group.
Spring had already started his own merchant group, albeit not that big. With the help of Summer's group of adventurers, Spring had already bought a shop. Spring's shop wasn't in a good spot, which was why he could buy it with a decent amount of money. Winter and Autumn were still joining Summer in his adventurer group, as they thought their abilities weren't enough for them to start their objective.
Year 1354 of the Light Era
It had been four years since Arthur arrived at the capital. Sebas once asked Arthur if he was interested in attending school, but Arthur refused. He believed he could learn alone or with Sebas, and going to school wasn't cheap. He preferred to use the money for the better treatment of his Avatars.
Since then, Sebas hadn't brought up the topic of school again, as he also agreed with Arthur's decision. Sebas thought that maybe when Arthur was a bit older, he could attend the Academy where the nobles trained their children.
Sebas asked for Arthur's opinion on this, and Arthur said he would think about it later. Arthur's talent had reached level 4, which was really hard for him to handle. When it reached level 3, the cooldown turned to 10 days, which made Arthur want to cry, but he continued training without complaining about how hard it was.
Then Arthur reached level 4, and when he saw the cooldown was reduced to 5 days, Arthur finally lost it. He trashed his house as he kept complaining and venting his frustrations. Luckily, Sebas came home before the house was destroyed, and he tried his best to calm Arthur down while not agitating him further.
After Arthur calmed down, he explained to Sebas why he was angry. When Sebas heard the reason, he couldn't say anything. Arthur knew it was his choice to pursue this plan, and although he could create Avatars whenever he wanted and not every time the cooldown finished, he felt he needed to do it. He had already made his choice and had seen how hard Sebas and the other Avatars worked to achieve his dreams.
Arthur should have known that they were only Avatars and not real human beings, but for him, they were the closest people he had, especially Sebas. That's why, even though it was hard, Arthur kept on training.
As Arthur kept training, he noticed that he acquired skills easier than before. It was because of muscle memory. Even though his brain forgot how to use the skill, his body remembered it, and because Arthur kept using the same skill for his Avatars, it became easier for him.
Arthur realized that it would be easier if he could use the same skill repeatedly for his Avatars. Although the Avatars couldn't have talent, they could learn skills, and that's what Arthur would use.
He could create Avatars using common skills like sword mastery or martial arts, which were easier for him to train. After creating the Avatar, they could learn and gain status and skills themselves. With enough time and the help of prior Avatars, they could progress even further.
Year 1357 of the Light Era
Seven years had passed since Arthur arrived at the capital. This year also marked Arthur's transition into adulthood. Arthur's talent had reached level 7, and the cooldown was now as crazy as 8 hours. Yes, Arthur could now create up to 4 Avatars a day. When Arthur saw this, he could only shake his head and sigh in defeat.
Arthur had already anticipated such a drastically shortened cooldown, but he thought it would only happen at level 9 or even 10. Now, he dreaded how short it would be when he reached higher levels in his talent.
Luckily, there was a huge change that made Arthur feel he could still manage. When his talent reached level 5, the stats taken became a third of his total stats. Compared to half before, it felt like a blessing.
Although Arthur still needed to train a lot, the reduced stats taken allowed him to accumulate this little bit of stats and feel the progress of getting stronger. Another change occurred when his talent reached level 7. Instead of taking a third of his stats, he could allocate the stats as he wanted, which was really helpful.
Arthur could now just allocate the minimum stats for the Avatar and let them train themselves, while he could start to raise his own stats and catch up with other people his age.
Regarding people his age, Sebas once again brought up the topic of attending school. Before discussing it with Arthur, he had already prepared the necessary documents, including information about the academy and how to obtain nobility.
Yes, Arthur needed noble status to attend the academy, as it was for nobles' children. Fortunately, noble status could be purchased with money, and money was not a problem for Arthur now.
After Sebas discussed it with Arthur, Arthur still felt it was unnecessary. But Sebas insisted that for his dream, Arthur needed to go to the academy. To have a city he could rule over, they needed connections. Where else could Arthur find as good a place as the academy, where the future lords of their respected households trained?
Moreover, one of the empire's princes attended the academy, making it even more prestigious. After reading all the information Sebas provided, Arthur started pondering the pros and cons of attending the academy.
It didn't take long for Arthur to decide to go. There were too many benefits if he attended. The connection with the prince alone was good enough, not to mention the abundance of books he could study to acquire more skills.
Money was no longer a problem, as Spring's business had taken off. Arthur had created more than 1000 Avatars, Winter had entered the Tower as a junior member, and Summer had established a clan with the Avatars as its members, earning a good reputation.
Autumn had also established his informant guild, albeit with only a few branches in the capital. Although 1000 was a huge number, when divided into different groups, it wasn't that much. The clan and Spring's shop both required a lot of members, so Sebas prioritized the business first before looking at other groups.
With money from Spring's business, Sebas not only expanded the business itself but also established Summer's clan and Autumn's informant guild. Additionally, Sebas bought a noble title for Arthur, as attending the academy wasn't cheap either.
After hearing Arthur agree to attend the academy, Sebas began the enrollment process, as it was quite bothersome so Sebas wouldn't let Arthur handle it.
Arthur also asked Sebas about the condition and strength of the Avatars. Sebas then prepared the necessary documents while dealing with the enrollment process for the academy.
**Four Season Clan (Summer's Clan):**
- Number of people: 250
- Leader: Summer (A-Level Adventurer)
- 30 Avatars at B-Level
- 50 Avatars at C-Level
- Remaining members are between D-Level to F-Level
**Mirage (Autumn's informant guild):**
- Number of people: 150
- Mainly operates inside the capital of the Eisenbern Empire
**Golden Spring (Spring's Business):**
- Number of people: 800
- Headquarters: Capital Eisenbern Empire
- Branches: Surrounding the capital of Eisenbern Empire
Additionally, a few people joined Winter to go to the Magic Tower, totaling 10, while the rest of the Avatars continued training as adventurers, forming separate parties from the Four Season Clan.
Arthur was satisfied with Sebas's arrangement of the Avatars. He also believed that the best way to utilize Avatars in the early stages was to build a business first before branching out and aiming for strength.
Arthur also a little but surprised to see that Summer already reach level-A adverturer.
He wondered if it's really that easy to gain stats or maybe Summer's reputation is just so good that he got promoted faster. Arthur honestly don't know.
For now, the most important thing was to train for etiquette, as he would need it for the academy and would meet nobles almost every day. He didn't want to be labeled as uncultured or a peasant by those people.
Arthur then let out a sigh.
"Sigh... Another training, another hardwork."
