Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Fighting Milim

"Really! You want to fight!" Milim asked, excited. Her even eyes had stars in them.

I chuckled, "Of course, I promised you, and I want to get stronger, so fighting you is the best choice." I didn't lie; I wanted to fight her to see how strong I was but also to analyze her Ultimate Skill: [Lord of Wrath: Satanael]

A sub-skill of the Ultimate Skill, Magicule Breeder Reactor. It allows the user to take in the magicules from their surroundings and mixes them with their own magical energy. They then collide together in a process similar to nuclear fusion and create more magicules. This ability allows the user to fight for virtually forever without running out of energy, giving them near-infinite energy.

It, together with my Intrinsic Skill: [Black Heart], will help me gain more magicules for my Unique Skill: [Mystery] or my specifically the copied version of Lord of Heaven: [Astarte].

"Well then, let's not waste more time, and let's fight," I said, excited for the fight. Even if it's mostly for the skill, it's not like I wouldn't enjoy a good fight.

Plus, if I managed to survive fighting Veldora all those years ago, then I should be able to put up a decent fight, at least.

We both had our armor on. After my fight with Veldora, my armor was completely destroyed, but I had my dwarf shadows forge me a new one. It was made out of magisteel and evolved over the years into Hihiirokane, the end-point of evolution for Magisteel.

It looks like pitch-black scales are over my whole body, with the cracks having a purple glow to them.

"Hahaha. Don't think I will go easy on you just because we are friends," Milim said with excitement.

"Then let's not waste time," I said as my sword brought forth my sword from my dimensional storage, it materialized with purple lighting, and I got my guard up.

It was a good idea as I instantly blocked her attack, and our swords clashed, sending sparks everywhere.

I didn't waste time as I focused on analyzing her Ultimate Skill during the battle.

Our blades clashed as the battle continued in the air, with Milim using her True Form. She had a crimson horn adorning her forehead and large wings.

The wings actually gave her an advantage during aerial combat compared to me, who used flight magic, but I managed to dodge and counter-attack even without wings.

But still, how nice would it be to have wings? Am I not supposed to be some kind of a super version of a fallen angel? Where are my wings?

Wait... What if? I got an idea mid-fight. I have used my shadows as shields and infused them into objects, so what if I make wings out of them?

I tried it, and shadows spread out of my back and took the shape of wings. At first, they looked just like a black substance in the form of wings, but after a while, they transformed and looked like black feathers with a purple glowing outline.

The battle continued, and I quickly learned how to use my new wings properly.

I was enjoying this fight. It could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how I looked at it. It was good because I was obviously having fun, but the bad thing was that analyzing her skill would take longer because I was so focused on the fight.

Our battle continued. Our surroundings were filled with the sounds of clashing swords and multiple spells flying everywhere. Thankfully I chose a secluded area for our fight. Otherwise, there would be causalities due to our little fight.

I managed to copy her Satanel skill after what I assumed was the 24-hour mark of our fight. I could probably do it in half that time if I focused more on analyzing than enjoying the fight, but I still got it done, so I should concentrate fully on the fight.

At this point, I wasn't thinking about anything else besides the fight. I saw Milim going for a punch, so I was ready to dodge and send a kick toward her, but it didn't go as planned.

"Both of you, stop!" I heard a familiar voice shout and felt my kick connect the same with Milim's punch, but we didn't hit each other.

Milim's punch hit Guy in the head, making him stumble down a bit perfectly for my kick to hit him between his legs.

"Guy?" We both asked in unison, having been so immersed in the fight that we didn't even notice him.

His skin became a few shades paler, and some sweat could be seen rolling down his face, but he pretended to look as if nothing had happened to him.

"I-If you both continue, you will make this area a new barren land here."

"Oh, come on, Guy, don't be like that. We were having fun," Milim said.

I nodded, "Yeah, Guy, why must you be so boring? Didn't you always fight with your Emperor Boyfriend?" I then shrugged, "Besides, we decided to fight in an isolated area where we wouldn't cause any damage."

"Well, maybe you started in an isolated area, but you aren't in one anymore."

After he said that, I noticed that, for some reason, everything around us was frozen, "Huh? When did we arrive on the Frozen Continent?" I then looked behind me, "Hey, Guy, why is the smoke coming out of your castle,"

"Someone was shooting spells around here and hit my castle with them!" He said, annoyed."

"Oh..." Milim and I both scratched the back of our heads while chuckling awkwardly, "Sorry?"

"Hey Milim, I think Mio has created a new cake recipe, so let's go and test it," I said, taking Milim and making a quick escape.

---

"So, Guy, why are you here?" I asked as I looked at Guy, who ate a piece of cake without any care in the world.

Is he really mad at destroying a part of his castle? Well, I would be I someone did it to mine.

"Your little stunt made Velzard angry, and she is blaming it on me."

"..." I'm fucked...
