"How about something with shadows?" I asked, and they started thinking.
"Yeah, that could be it," Guy said, "Shadow, Guy's Shadow..." He stated, muttering different names, "Shadow Lord, no need to be something grander like... I know Shadow Monarch." He said and looked proud of himself for coming up with it while I deadpanned, "You used hundreds of those shadows when we fought, so it fits."
"It's a good name." They muttered while nodding, and so my title as a Demon Lord has become the Shadow Monarch.
[New Title Acquired: (Demon Lord)]
Huh, a new title... It's been a few years since my titles changed.
"Shadow Monarch... I like it." I said with an approving nod.
"Hey, Ca... Ashborn, what are you going to do now that you have become a Demon Lord?" Ramiris asked me, and it got the attention of the others.
"Hmmm... I don't have anything special planned, so maybe make a floating castle for myself." I said the first thing that came to my mind.
"A floating castle, now that's interesting," Guy chuckled, "You should invite me when it's built."
"Oh, oh, oh, I want to see it!" Milim said, excited.
"At least he has done more than Dino," Ramiris said while Dino was still sleeping but woke up momentarily.
"At least I didn't grow smaller." He said and fell asleep again.
I don't even understand how he can wake up every time Ramiris says something about him and then instantly fall asleep.
"Hey, now that we have a new member, we need a new name!" Milim said.
The whole table became silent again at the mention of coming up with a name, and I felt them glare at me. Hey, it isn't my fault you accepted me, and if you want to blame someone, then blame Guy for forcing me into becoming one.
"How about Ramiris and Friends?" Ramiris suggested but got quickly denied by everyone.
"I already came up with the greatest title possible for him, so he should repay us for it by coming up with the name," Guy said with a prideful tone and looked at me, and they all nodded in agreement, even Roy making me feel betrayed.
Shit, I cursed them all. I'm not good with names. We are eleven. If we were eight, I could steal Rimuru's Octagram idea...
Let's see eleven members. Hendecagram, Eleven Heavenly Demon Lords, Eleven Sagely Demon Lords...
I could feel everyone's intense glare at me while I was thinking. I know you are bad with names like me, but it would be easier if you all helped me! I wanted to yell at them.
"Umm, what about The Eleven Sagely Demon Lords..." I said, not being able to come up with something good.
They started murmuring to themselves before Dragruel said, "It's alright." They all nodded.
"It's better than Ramiris and Friends," Dino said after waking up momentarily, but all of them nodded in agreement except Ramiris, who seemed offended.
"It was an awesome name," She said, puffing her cheeks.
"I think Milim and Friends would've been better," Milim said.
The banquet turned into a tea party while the rest of the world was probably dreading the outcome of it. Some of them left directly after, but some stayed behind.
Now with the name decided, we started talking about different stuff until Ramris brought up something I didn't expect, "Hey Dragruel have you found out why there aren't so many monsters in your territory lately?" She asked, and I was sweating mentally.
"No, I haven't, and my sons have grown bored with fewer monsters to fight, causing me a headache." He said
"Speaking of fighting," Milim turned to me, "How about you fight me!" She asked, excited for a fight.
"Hahaha," I laughed nervously, "If you are at the same level of strength as Guy, I don't think I would be able to put up a good fight just yet. How about in a few years?" I asked.
"Ughhh... But that's so long to wait. Fine." Thankfully she agreed. Otherwise, I would probably be dead.
I took a sip of the purple wine and could feel Mom's glare behind Roy, so I decided to put the glass down and not drink for the rest of the banquet.
Everyone began to talk about random stuff before they started to leave one by one.
I decided to leave after Mom and Roy, and we returned to her office.
---
I sighed as the demon maids left, "Well, it went better than expected." I said.
"You should be lucky you got Guy's interest. Many others would have been killed." She said with a sigh of relief.
"The others aren't me," I said in a prideful tone, only to get hit by a slipper.
"I swear you are getting harder to deal with each passing year," She said and sat down on the sofa, "So what are you planning to do now?"
I sat down on the other sofa, "As I said, I plan to make a floating castle for myself as Demon Lord Ashborn while doing some Holy Knight Cale stuff on the side.
"That wasn't a joke?" She asked, having fully expected it was a joke.
"No, it wasn't," I shook my head, "Plus, isn't it a must to have your own castle when being a Demon Lord?" I joked.
While most Demon Lords have their own castle, there are people like Dino, a freeloader. But the other reason for making it would be for Humans to attack me so I could collect their souls for the harvest festival.
They would do the job for me, and it's not like I could be blamed for killing them when they do it themselves, and I would also make a name for myself as someone that shouldn't be messed with.
"Well then, I should get started," I said and hugged her, "See you later, Mom."
