Ten days passed quickly, with me going deep into the forest daily, but I haven't had luck finding many monsters.
In the ten days, we stayed near the forest, I only fought a total of 56 Magic Beasts.
It could be because I never go deeper into the forest where Veldora's magicules are the strongest, and that's why I don't find many of them, but getting too close wouldn't end well for me.
This isn't the Tsundere otaku dragon yet, so getting too close would be like begging to be killed. I mentally coughed while thinking of myself from a different timeline.
But if I wanted to get strong, I needed to find more high-ranking opponents, and that's how after hours of trying to avoid it, I decided to go deeper.
If I weren't walking closer to a walking calamity, I would make a joke about that.
About twenty minutes later, I sensed multiple strong magical signatures to my right.
My sword ready, I went in that direction, and as I got close, I saw six black serpents.
I heard a loud hiss as the massive serpents lunged toward me. I quickly raised my sword and felt the creature's tooth brake as it tried to bite it. I pushed back against the serpent's weight and drove my sword into its body, striking the fatal blow.
More snakes were closing in, their eyes glowing in the dim light. I pivoted on my feet, dodging their strikes and slashing back with my sword. The battle continued until the last of the snakes finally lay motionless on the ground.
[1,800EXP for killing 6x(Black Serpent)]
[Magicules increased by 1,800]
[You leveled up]
[All attributes increased by one.]
Nice, another level, but what I'm most excited about.
I looked at the dead serpents around me with a smirk, "Arise."
The serpents became shadows and bowed their heads to me before entering my shadow.
"Status," I mumbled and sat down for a moment.

I looked at the screen and couldn't help myself from smiling a bit. While I'm still a long way from becoming strong, I have progressed a lot in just ten days.
Hmmm. Maybe I should invest some points in strength.
The strength stat in my system isn't just my physical strength but also my speed, so upgrading it now that I'm not staying in the library all the time would be best.
I thought about it for a bit before deciding to do it.
"Put 20 points each in Strength and Agility and 15 points in Vitality," I ordered the system.
[Strength: 85 -> 105]
[Agility: 85 -> 105]
[Vitality: 85 -> 100]
[Remaining Points: 55 -> 0]
I felt a surge of power inside of me and instantly got excited to test it out.
The first thing I did was to activate Thought Acceleration and move at my full speed, and to my amazement, my movements felt fluid. My body could easily keep up with Thought Acceleration at full speed, unlike before when it felt like I was moving through a viscous liquid.

Chronoa POV:
I observed Cale from a distance like I usually do while he hunts monsters, and I must say he is a quick learner. He observes every detail during our sparring and uses it to improve his own fighting style.
By the end of this year, he should be at the strength of a new Hero's Egg or a Demon Lord Seed.
---
Cale Valentine POV:
I spent the rest of the day hunting more magic beasts and had a bit of good luck finding three more groups of monsters before heading back to camp.
"So, how was your hunt today?" Chronoa asked, seeing me leave the forest.
"Fought a few groups of monsters, but nothing too challenging," I answered before adding, "I wish they would be easier to find."
"Most of the stronger monsters come out at night, and most of them are closer to Veldora. So until you get strong or fast enough to fight or outrun Veldora, I wouldn't recommend getting closer." She said as she gave me the skewer with monster meat before we started my sword training.
That's how my day usually went. In the morning, I would do my daily quest before entering the forest. Then, around 6 pm, I would return to camp before she would spar with me.
---
Three more weeks quickly passed like this, and Chronoa decided it was time to move elsewhere, "You have probably already read through books about the different countries, but you should see them yourself."
"I understand," I replied but remembered I hadn't had the chance to read anything for a few weeks now.
If I just remembered, I had an inventory...
But enough of my sulking about not being able to read books, I brought up my status and quickly looked it over.

Something I also noticed now that I level up is that my level affects the stats. Having a hundred in all the stats on level three is different from having the same stats on level ten. It's like the level is a percentage boost to the stats.
"Let's head out," Chronoa said, and we continued our journey, but before that, I sent a few shadows to stay in the forest and grind for me. I don't know when the next time will come when I will be able to hunt for exp freely, so leaving them there was the best option.
Our first stop is for me to become an adventurer. Normally I wouldn't care about it, but there are perks to becoming one, such as traveling between countries easily.
It's similar to how the Free Guild will work in the future but not as developed. It will grant an adventurer easier passage into a country than a normal person, but that's about the only perk you get.
We decided to go to the Blumund to take my test as it's the closest before we start exploring the continent.
Blumund is so small that all the nobles are feudal lords of villages. It is merely a country that comprises its royal capital. The capital is the only large city, and in the castle town lies the Blumund's Adventurer's Mutual Aid Association Branch.
And so, traveling at high speed, we made it to the Kingdom of Blumund just before nightfall.

Author's Note:
Thank you for reading this chapter.
I don't know much about the old adventurers guild system and how it worked before the Free Guild one besides having a bad ranking system, so I'm going to keep the ease of traveling between countries in this fanfic.
