Chapter 406 - Vampires Vs Werewolves (Part 2)

From outside, there was totally nothing. From the inside, the Werewolves and Vampires could see the white force field that surrounded them. It was extremely large almost covered half of the woods; giving the Werewolves enough space to run.

Meanwhile, from outside the forcefield, nothing could be seen, no fighting. It was part of the Vampiric technology, this allowed the Mutants not to know what was going on in the woods and not to put interest there, allowing the two races to fight to their full strength.

The sound of Benjamin's punch was loud enough for everyone in the place to hear it clearly and that included the Vampires that weren't there anymore. Benjamin didn't hold back his punch and that had caused Gary's body to jolt backwards with full force crashing a tree, causing the tree to also break into two.

Gary stood up almost instantly. He looked at his stomach, where the punch had been made, the armour was still fine. Luckily for him, the armour took most of the damage.

He spit out a little blood from his mouth out of annoyance. He stretched out his blade. All of the Vampires had just one long blade, right now, Gary was the only Vampire there as all the Vampires weren't with him, they were holding the force field together. Gary wasn't scared even a little.

"You dare lay your filthy hands on me!" Gary said as he dashed towards Benjamin.

It came so fast, that Benjamin couldn't complete dodge the attack. The sword cut Benjamin's left arm entirely, from his shoulder down and the next thing Gary did was a kick to Benjamin's chest.

BANG!

The sound that followed the kick sent shiver down all the Werewolves spine. Benjamin was a Naturally Born Werewolf, and yet the sword cut his left arm like it was butter. Benjamin's body hit not only one tree, but three trees at thesame time before his body stopped moving.

He was on the floor currently weaker than ever before. He started to remember how Miller had defeated him thesame way, "I wouldn't be defeated so easily," he said to himself standing up summoning the courage.

The Werewolves were all looking at Gary in fear who was moving towards them slowly, each step he took look like their deaths were getting nearer and nearer.

"What are you waiting for," Gary said in a soft tone, "I would give the first three to come to me a quick and painless death." He said smiling at them.

"Let's get him!" roared the werewolves, their fur bristling as they sprang forward. Leading the charge was Alexander Reynolds, the pack's alpha. Alexander was a massive werewolf, standing head and shoulders above the others. He let out a ferocious howl as he lunged at the vampire, claws outstretched. But the vampire was ready for him. He sidestepped the attack and Alexander's claws found nothing but air.

"You're too slow, wolf!" the vampire sneered. But Alexander was not one to be outdone. He recovered quickly, swiping at the vampire with a massive paw.

In a blur of motion, Gary swung his sword and impaled Alexander in the stomach. The werewolf leader collapsed, a look of shock and agony on his face. But the vampire was far from finished. Spinning in a dizzying blur, he sliced at the werewolves that rushed at him, tearing their flesh and leaving them writhing in pain.

*Knock Knock

Watson was jolted awake by the sound of a persistent knocking at the door. Groggily, he climbed out of bed and made his way to the door. It was already past ten o'clock, and he wasn't expecting any visitors. Peering through the peephole, he was surprised to see his best friend, Miller, standing there with Jacob

"Good to see you, Miller," Watson exclaimed, enveloping his best bud in a bear hug. He spared Jacob a handshake, opting for a simple nod instead. "I had a hunch you'd get involved in that whole Vampire vs. Werewolves showdown," he mused as he cleared a path for the duo to enter the room. With a casual twist of his wrist, Watson secured the door behind them.

"So, why's Jacob here?" Watson inquired, still uneasy in the presence of Werewolves.

"He's crashing here tonight. Alex's room is empty, and it's already past 10 PM – curfew and all. Better he bunks in our dorm," Miller explained.

"Since when did supernatural folks like you follow the rules?" Watson tossed out a rhetorical question.

"If my presence bothers you," Jacob began, anticipating a potential clash, "I can take off."

"No need for that," Miller assured, giving his left shoulder a reassuring tap.

"Why wouldn't you say that?" Watson questioned. "You're not as feeble as I am."

SWOOSH!

Suddenly, a sound like the rush of wind filled the room, cutting off Miller's words. The three men's gazes followed the sound to the corner of the room, where they saw a figure shimmering as if made of light. The figure's body shivered and shook as he emerged from the wall, revealing himself to be a vampire clad in gleaming silver armor. Only his dark eyes were visible beneath his helmet.

The air in the room thickened with tension. "Vampires," Miller and Jacob said in unison, the word dripping with distrust and suspicion.

"I knew this tracker would come in handy," The Vampire who held a pink square shaped device said looking at the three men in front of him. "Well it's only one strap animal, I guess no need for you anymore, " The Vampire said to the device as he smashed it with his bare left hand.

"I knew this tracker would come in handy," the vampire gloated, brandishing a square device the color of bubblegum. He surveyed the trio in front of him with an arrogant grin. "A single werewolf, nothing to get excited about. I guess there's no need for you anymore," he said, crushing the device with his bare hand. The men in the room tensed, their eyes flitting between each other. They knew this was the moment they had been dreading.
