Chapter 222 - The Vampire's Greatest Enemy

Miller and Alex had just left the Martial Arts Class and were in their room. They were actually waiting for Watson to come back. So that the three of them could go to the Cafeteria.

The time is around 10:43. The next class is around 12 o' clock.

While they were in the room, Miller decided to ask Alex this question that had been bugging him for a while. It was a question relating to Dhampir. Miller didn't trust Catherine one bit, he knew she was extremely powerful. Thanks to his Inspect Skill. He wanted to know a thing or two about Dhampir. He also wanted to know if Alex knew who she was?

Miller was tempted to ask the System. But he felt like asking Alex; A real Vampire would be better.

"Alex." Miller called as he cleared his throat.

"What's up men." Alex replied.

Alex was on his bed which was above Miller's.

"I wanted to ask you a question." Miller said. "May I?"

"Sure, but it depends on the kind of question." Alex replied.

"What do you know about Dhampir?" Miller asked.

Immediately Miller said those words, Alex used his super speed as a Vampire to jump of his bed and he was now standing in front of Miller.

"They are half Vampires and Half Humans." Alex said. "And they are dangerous."

"In the Vampire Settlement where i am from. We refer to them as an Abomination or what they are mainly referred to as a Vampire Hunters." Alex continued.

"Most Dhampir are formed when sex occurs between a Vampire and a human and thus because of this it was made illegal for any Vampire to ever fall in love with a human. Except that person is a Vampire."

"Some Dhampirs also come into existence when the ritual in which a person is transformed into a Vampire goes wrong. They have no natural Weakness like the Vampires have with the Sun."

Alex then now sat close to Miller and continued the story. "You might think that The Vampires Greatest Enemy is a Werewolf. But it isn't. It's actually a Dhampir."

"Based on the stories I was told back in the Vampire Settlement when I was younger. Dhampir's mostly made it their life mission to kill any Vampire they find and thus the more Dhampir's the more problems for us."

"A Dhampir doesn't have our natural weakness and thus uses it against us. So many Vampires believe that all Dhampir's are born with the knowledge and desire to kill a Vampire."

"This harsh system had created a culture of fear and mistrust among the vampires, who now spent their days constantly looking over their shoulders, always on the lookout for anyone who might be harboring a secret Dhampir. It was a heavy burden to bear, and it created a society of mistrust and paranoia. As time went on, the strict laws and constant fear began to take their toll, and the vampires began to wonder if perhaps there was a better way."

"The reason that the Vampire Settlement had made it a crime for Dhampirs to exist was rooted in fear. The Vampires knew that the Dhampirs have all the strengths of our kind but none of the weaknesses, which led to concerns that if Dhampirs ever rose up against us, we would be powerless to stop them. So, they created laws that not only outlawed the very existence of Dhampirs, but also made it a crime for anyone to know of their existence and say nothing."

"Dhampirs are dangerous, Miller," Alex said. "They possess all the powers of a vampire, but none of the weaknesses. They pose a threat to people like me."

"I understand your concern," Miller replied, "but I think you're being overly cautious. We don't even know if there are any Dhampirs in this school, and even if there are, they're probably just trying to live their lives like everyone else. We don't need to be scared of them."

"You're being naive," Alex said, "All Dhampirs have a natural desire to kill Vampires. It's in their blood."

"Do you know any Dhampir?" Alex asked.

For a moment, Miller wanted to call Catherine's name. But he knew it wasn't right. If he calls her name, he knew clearly that Alex and the other vampire wouldn't hesitate to kill her. Even if he doesn't trust Catherine, he can't just send her to be killed. Because giving out such an information would make the Vampires kill her without a second thought.

Based on what Alex had said so far. It was true that Dhampir's are Vampires Greatest Enemy.

"I don't know." Miller lied.

"Okay." Alex said. "But if you do, do not forget to inform me."

"Yes i will." Miller replied.

Alex was about to climb his bed when he came back down and looked at Miller. This was a question; he wanted to ask Miller for a long time and he know felt like this was the right time to do so.

"Miller, what exactly are you. Because i know you aren't human." Alex asked. "What are you?"
