"I am asking it in a different way Sylvia. Are you okay after... the way your life has changed?"
Sylvia looked up at him, realising how tiny she looked against his tall frame. She barely reached his shoulders.
"Sylvia?"
"Erm... yes. I mean I am learning to adjust with this new life but so far it is great!"
He was silent, but his eyes were asking many more questions.
"Are you sure? Look, I don't want you to feel burdened by anything. Everything is happening so fast, and you didn't get a chance to breathe and absorb everything that has happened.
But I want you to know that... I am here, Sylvia. I am always here for you. You can share anything with me, and I promise I will not be judgemental about it!" Corbin's words were full of sincerity, which brought a smile to her lips.
"Anything?"
