"Gianna?"
Gianna grabbed Sylvia's hand and said in a hushed whisper.
"Keep walking. It might be some wild animal. Don't make any noise."
Sylvia was confused, yet she didn't question the elder and followed her silently, only to stop again after a couple of steps when something snapped behind them.
Sylvia's heart thudded fast in her chest. She slowly dared to turn around but found nothing behind her. All she could see were thick bushes and some trees.
Sylvia was about to take a step forward when Gianna held her hand and stopped her with a shake of her head.
A rustling of leaves made Gianna gasp, and before either of them understood what was going on, something jumped out from behind the bushes and launched straight at them.
Gianna pushed Sylvia out of the way in time. Sylvia fell to the side on the forest ground, the bags in her hands slipped, spilling the fruits inside them.
