Corbin had always been good with women. He had many female friends while he was studying in the city. But none of them captivated him like Sylvia. There was something about her that he couldn't just pinpoint that attracted him toward her like a moth is attracted to the flame though it only brings it to its end.
He wanted to move his hands and explore the places where he could touch her. But a small voice of sanity in his head held him back from crossing the line.
He noticed how rapidly the emotions in Sylvia's eyes changed. He could see a great turmoil inside her, but he couldn't reach deeper to understand what that turmoil was. The stiffness in her body told him that she was uncomfortable. That was the last thing Corbin wanted, yet he couldn't bring himself to step back from her.
He wanted to keep holding onto her, stare at her beautiful face and try to uncover the mysteries she had within her.
