Sylvia splashed some more cold water on her face, yet the heat she felt from within didn't cool down. She stood against the sink, holding onto its brim with a tight grip as she tried to clear her head of what she had just seen.
Yet her efforts turned out to be futile as the images she had seen were engraved in her mind and soul for the rest of her life.
"Sylvia?"
Sylvia jumped in fright and turned around at lightning speed, only to bump into a hard wall of muscles. It was the same wall she was drooling over a minute ago.
She was startled and tried to back away, but she was sandwiched between the sink and that wall with no way of escaping.
"Sylvia, are you alright?"
Corbin's deep voice sent shivers down her spine, and she slowly dared to look up. But as soon as her eyes met his light blue ones, she regretted looking up at him.
His light blue orbs were looking down at her intently with worry laced at their corners.
