Sylvia curled her fingers tightly around her wand, ready to use it the very moment, it would be needed.
But something about that creature stopped her from using it promptly. She didn't feel any threat from it, although she had just witnessed the level of violence and aggression that creature possessed.
Yet her heart refused to see it as a threat. She wished it had eyes of some other colour. Maybe then she could have read its thoughts in them.
Taking that leap of faith, she stepped forward cautiously. Not breaking the eye contact with that creature, she asked, "What are you?"
Again, she was met by only some incomprehensible sounds. She realised that the creature couldn't speak.
A thought then crossed her mind, and her heart raced in fear.
"Have you seen a man with blue eyes anywhere around here?"
What if this creature had harmed Corbin?
Something changed, but Sylvia couldn't pinpoint what it was. She watched that creature closely.
