The ride to the city was comfortable as Sylvia found the two men including her in their conversations. They shared the stories from their childhood, spilt little naughty secrets of their other friends and argued about almost anything and everything unimportant.
Sylvia laughed and enjoyed their silly talks, giving her input by playing a good listener, who was genuinely interested in their stories.
The uncomfortableness began to fade off with every mile they travelled. By one in the afternoon, they reached the nearest city to Broughton. Corbin kept complaining they were late because of Sigerten, who made him halt at every town on their way so he could buy something to eat. While Sigerten put all the blame on Corbin's slow riding.
Sylvia, on the other hand, knew that both friends were at fault here, but she decided to stay out of their arguments for the sake of her mental peace.
