This morning, when Sylvia reached the workshop at Corbin's house, she found the carriage ready with the horse and Corbin as a coachman. She was excited to step out of Broughton for the first time since her stay there for several months.
She came prepared for the journey as Corbin's companion alongside Lina.
"Good morning, Mrs. Addis, Mr. Addis!" Sylvia chirped like a happy bird as she entered through the small white gate.
Selma and Lincoln were going through the list of things Corbin needed to buy in the city. They wanted to make sure they wouldn't forget anything because it was not a journey to go all the way back to the city just to get one thing.
Selma's face brightened as soon as she found Sylvia's smiling face. She opened her arms, welcoming her for a warm hug, which Sylvia gladly accepted.
